Right Front Rim

I cannot believe it - as cautious as I am about not running into a curb, which I rarely rarely do, I did today with my new to me TL-S.

The front rim is scratched and looks horrible. I checked on ebay 260 shipped for a new rim is the cheapest I could find.

Is there anything I need to be aware of here regarding sensors or other items, or do I only need the rim?

Thanks. Oh of course, once i hit the rim the coffee jumped out of my cup and onto my white shirt. This day is not starting out well.

Where do you live? I know someone that re-finishes a wheel for only $125 with lifetime warranty on work. Cheaper than buying a new one.

sorry to hear that, pictures?

i did the same thing a week after i bought my type-s, was at an unfamiliar drive thru ATM and as i was leaving, scraped the rear passenger rim on a concrete slab that should have never been there in the first place. damage was not so bad really, the bark was worse than the bite thankfully. i used acura anthracite silver metallic touch up paint carefully, and you can't hardly tell it was ever scratched (unless your me).

DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT go spending $260 on a replacement rim. you can have your existing rim repaired and matched perfectly for considerebly less than that. my guy does wheels for 75$ a peice.

course, this is all depending on how bad the damage is. but most curb rash situations can be remedied without buying a new rim. wheelworx is a place near me, do some searches, make some calls, get it fixed. don't buy a new one, unless you have money to blow.

Repair/Refinish. ~$100 per wheel (give or take).
