Replacement 6mt calipers (the part that says ACURA)

I had my new snows and rims put on '04 TL, only to find out that the idiot didn't check the wheel clearance around the calipers. So needless to say the finish from the caliper chipped off. Does anyone know how much these are are to replace and should i make the garage pay for them? thanks

You should make the garage pay for the damages they caused. You should also get different wheels.

The calipers costs $305.15 at
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...prddisplay.jsp

They are listed under Front Brake. The 6mt TL is listed as the Type S.

thank you...I'm going to get new wheels on monday. And will make the garage pay for the damages, but they will not be putting the new calipers on. Also, do you know what else they would come with??

I believe it's the whole caliper set. The best way to be sure is to call up a Acura dealer parts department.

I'm sure that's just one caliper. There is no way 2 Brembo calipers would only be 300 and change. One weak rear caliper for my 94 Integra was around $200.

Very sorry to hear you trouble. I wonder if tire guys list the general specs for 04 TL without listing for the 6MT model with Brembos.

Curious what set of snows and rims you ended up with. I am faced with the same decision on a 04 6MT Dynamic and don't want to run into the same trouble.

Thanks
