Reconditioning TL Rims

My Dad's '05 TL has about 42,000 miles on it. The rims on it are curbed to shit and have scratches all over them and he is really pissed about it.

For Christmas, I want to either get him four new OEM TL rims or get them all reconditioned. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I could get them reconditioned in the Massachusetts area? And also, how much should I expect to pay to have them reconditioned?

Thanks, fellas.

Reconditioning = ~ $150/ wheel

OEM wheels off eBay= ~ $150/ wheel

Probably easier to buy a new set, and save the existing set for snow tires.

I have take offs from my 06 TL...They are in perfect shape, i will sell them to you for 500 if you want them. Hell, I even have the tires (about 7K on them) if he is at 42K he could probably use a set. PM me if you are interested.

thanks!

Hey, good info!! I am going to hook up with them this week to see what they can do. Two of my rims have curb rash...hope they can fix. Thanks again

If I can get them done, I will post before and after photo's. It will happen either Weds. or Thursday when I travel to the Bay Area (CA)

Just for the record, here is the quote I got from the Mobile Wheel Repair in Northern Virginia

"Repairs to your rim run on average $150- $200 per rim depending on the
degree of damage and/or color of paint"

Did you use their service? If so, how did it turn out?

No, not yet. I'm looking at used wheel prices for awhile first.

Just FYI, my wife curbed a wheel on her van and it was 100.00 for a mobile wheel repair place to come out and fix it. They did a pretty good job...I was out of town on business and they made it to the van before I did...I get angry when I find out she hits stationary objects, so she took a proactive approach.

I got mobilewheelrepair to come out to North NJ and the guy did a fantastic job on 2 of my rims for $100 each. You can't even tell that there was some work done to them and some of the curb rashes were pretty deep. I'm very satisfied.
