I was just quoted 4,400CAD by the dealer ship to replace one motor mount, both front axels , rear swaybar links and alignment. For those of you who live in Ontario canada. Can you recommend me how to source these parts and go to a local mechanic to have them replaced. My car is 2008 TL base. I am located in Toronto. If you know a shop that can give me a good deal with parts included please recommend as well.

How:

1. Buy the parts yourself. www.acuraoemaparts.com www.oemacuraparts.com
2. Go on Yelp or Google and find a trusted independent mechanic that has experience working on Honda/Acuras
3. Save a fuckton of money
4. Profit.

problem is those stores are US based with mean custom fees included it will be almost the same as buying it from the dealership.

Yeah, but you can empower yourself, with the use of those websites, to research / notate the part numbers for each item you need, then take them to a Canadian Acura dealership or buy online from same.

parts are not cheap, you are probably looking $1500 or more only for both OEM Acura axels. your best bet is finding parts from State or Rockauto, as they do ship to Canada. speaking of mechanic, the shop name is IPC, he only works on Honda/Acura and he works himself, has no one else in shop to help. he is located at Dixie and Steeles avenue. he will also only work on non-modified cars. you can get in touch with him. he is not cheap but not expensive like dealer and his work is top notch.

thanks, I tried calling him a bunch of times and he didn’t answer. I got my car reinspected at another Acura mechanic shop and turns out my axels are fine but the UCA and rear stabilizers need to get changed. I was told to get the tiers balanced and I did and now my car doesn’t vibrate anymore. I was quoted 640$ for parts and labor including wheel alignment. Such a relief. Next on my list is the motor mount but i will do that next month.

the sad thing is you can't get hold of him over the phone, he is too busy and since he is the only one working. i actually visit him to set an appointment for my car and come again for my appointment.
