Rear camber kit and ASPEC suspension

Here's a camber queation that I dont rememebr being asked... I've been on the ASPEC suspension for a while now, and the latest alignment from a trusted shop shows -2.1 and -1.9 rear camber. My question is to get the camber in spec, would a kit "pull" the lower portion of the wheel in, or "push" the top portion out? Or can it do both?

If I would rather have the correction "pull in" to bring the camber in spec, does that mean I only need one arm per side?

Thanks,
James

The rear camber kits we offer from SPC and Ingalls replace the lower arms in the rear. The SPC kit only replaces one arm so it can only adjust camber. The Ingalls kit replaces both rear lower arms and can account for camber and toe. Basically the answer to your question is that they are lower arms, so the adjustment happens on the lower end of the wheel. They can also pull in and push out if you are looking to create negative camber.

Check out our website for great pricing on both kits!

Tomlison-

I am going through a similar issue with my camber and am not sure which kit to go with.

Off topic question, but what kind of tips (and exhaust) are you running? I am trying to figure out which tips I want to go with and I think yours might be exactly what I am after.

Your answer is in the post above, SPC or Ingalls, take your pick.

Well, in addition to the two mentioned, they do make J Power, DNA Motoring, Eibach, Truhart, CT Engineering, camber kits for the rear of the TL.

I know that, but thanks for reiterating the options.

Thanks for the response. The toe is good, and I don't want any more camber. Rather I want less, lol. So it looks like the SPC solution would work for me.

Sean - these are staggered 2.25" inlet tips. IIRC from 2012, the ebay description was "double walled staggered chrome tips." There was an Acurazine vendor called SoCal that sold these, but as I said, I got them off of eBay. They are chrome all the way from the inlet to the outlet (there are some where only the edge of the tips are chrome). Assured Automotive is also a source, but their tips are branded Silverline? You need to get the SPC camber kit.

Look further down and find the post titled " J-Power camber kit review " with over 10000 views. Many of us had issues with Ingalls arms with soft bushings.

DO NOT get the Ingalls kit. Your toe can be adjusted by the stock eccentric bolt.

If the toe is good, I'd hold off since that's not a lot of camber. My car is dropped similar to Aspec with Koni Yellow's on the lowest perch and I believe my numbers were the same, -2 but the toe is spot on, no tire wear issues and not very noticeable. There's not really any adverse effects to having the camber a little bit out of spec.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if once you go over 2.0 that calls for getting back in spec. The other things is the spacers make the camber a bit more noticeable IMO, and it's not as aesthetically appealing (to me at least) vs. if the camber was less negative.

Get the SPC arms. Easy DIY. I'm running ASPEC suspension and SPC arms. I carry a lot of tools in my trunk and was having tire wear issues. The SPC arms solved the camber issue. You will not regret going with the SPC arms

As recommended earlier, read that J-Power camber kit review thread and the SPC DIY thread (note: you DO NOT need to swap out the boots):

J-Power camber kit review - AcuraZine Community

Rear SPC camber DIY. - how to fix the dust boot - AcuraZine Community

You can get the SPC arms for only $145.56 shipped from THMotorsports or see if one of the Azine vendors will match that price.

Ingalls used to have an issue with their bushings that has since been revised.
