Real '08 Type S wheels vs. replica

what are the differences between the two, i want to buy originals but they have curve rash the guy wants 650 with tires but i dont know if is worth it

I was looking at these as well for my summer wheels though. I just cant pull the trigger so im glad i found this thread. Id love to know more information about them.

Visually, there shouldn't be any differences. I'm sure the color between the real vs. 3rd party waffles varies slightly though, so make sure you get all four wheels from the same place. I'd MUCH rather have mint 3rd party waffles than curbed up OEM waffles.

$650 isn't bad, how bad is the curve rash??

FWIW, I sold my oem waffles in excellent condition (no curb rash), very good tires and TPMS for $650. I think you should be able to work that price down a bit.

Better luck with the Waffles

Depending on how bad the rash is, I think 650 isn't quite worth it if you can get 3rd party wheels for a lot cheaper, as far as the color, you won't notice if they are replicas from a quick glance, I wish I could find pictures to show you but I know someone who got replicas, and they looked very close to the ones I have on my 08 TL-S

Those look decent, but the finish on them is a lot darker than the oem color. FWIW...

I'm thinking about these for replacing the stock on my 04 which are really in bad shape. You also may need center caps and they would be about $20 each.

Yea I spoke with the sales rep at Tobacco road and they go for 615.00 delivered
