Question on Volk wheels

I'm thinking of buying some used volks, but the lug nuts are not included.
So do I have to get Volk lug nuts or any lug nuts will do?

You do not have to use Ray's Engineering lugs. There are several other brands that will work just fine.

StockTL- Try the McGaurd Splinedrives as they will work just fine for you.

^^^ you don't have to use Ray's lug nut, there's other ones that you can use that will fit... But if you're going to buy Volks rims why not do it right and get the Ray's lug nut too? if you're going to buy the Ray lug nut go with the extended lug nut, I think they're better...

I correct myself.. I misspoke. You have to use a race type lug. There are a number of places that make them, you simply can not use the stock lugs...

not true either on the race type lugs. you don't need "RACE" lugs, but he's right you cannot use stock lugs.

I'm using Gorilla lugs and lock nuts on my volks. the lug nuts besides the lock nut is pretty generic.

I believe it needs to have a certain type of "head" they have rounded and ones that look like / \...

Yeah it's called an "Acorn" style or "Tuner" style (which usually refers to the skinnier lug nuts with an Acorn head/seat)

Any lug nuts will do as long as it has tapered seat and fits inside the stud holes of the wheels.

The OEM wheels have ball seats. The OEM lugnuts fit (at least on my GT-V), but they won't seat properly.

I have regular 6 sided 19 mm lug nuts with tapered seat on my GT-V and they fit just fine.

You generally do NOT need Acorn or Tuner style lugnuts on VR wheels.

Why don't you test fit your stock lug nuts first with your VR wheels. If they fit in the hole, any regular 6 sided 19 mm tapered seat lug nuts will fit.

Same here. Great tuner lugnuts! Just remember that you have to find a new lugnut wrench or rachet w/ socket to keep in your car to fit the new ones.
