Powder Coating '07 + Wheels

I have a carbon gray pearl 07 and I've been thinking about powder coating my wheels white or gunmetal. How do you guys think that would look? Do you think it's worth paying $300+?...

Do gunmetal. Cgp with gunmetal = win.
Not stock but gunmetal pics below

As for aggressive fitment, not really, haha pretty much the same except these are 18x8.5 vs 18x8 (RS4). I don't like it too flush, but when I do decide there's always spacers.

Do it. I had my A-Specs powdercoated gunmetal and I love them.

White or gunmetal? Keep in mind my 07 wheels are only 17s and are different material than the A-Specs. Would they still look good or cheap? Would it be worth it or would some XXRs for $200 more be a better choice?

White stock wheels on a dark green car? Not a fan

Before wheels are powdercoated, the original finish is sandblasted off until the bare metal is showing, so the material is the same.

From the sound of things, you really want to do something with your wheels. Have you thought about putting that money into something else for the car? Maybe just get the front A-Spec lip?

The reason why I say that is because the powdercoating process is more expensive than you may think. Yeah it will cost a few hundred to have it done BUT you have to pay someone to dismount the tires, then the powdercoating, then remount the tires which includes balancing and an alignment. I paid $300 to have my A-Specs powdercoated but after everything else that had to be done, I paid over twice that amount. If you get aftermarket wheels and still have stock suspension, it won't look right.

Wow, never thought about that. That's not worth it on my stock 17s then IMO. Rather get rims and springs in the future then. Or would I have to get coils which is 1k+? And I've thought about getting the front A-Spec, but the 07+ front lips make almost no difference. That's how they look in pics at least, never seen them IRL. I really like the 06- lips :/

You can fit the 04-06 lip on a 07-08 bumper. You just have to cut some of the lip back so it will sit flush. acura_dipset_tl has that setup and it looks dope.

BUT you'll have to get the lip painted and since the color is pearl, it's a 3 step process, and it's not cheap.

Just plasti dip then paint over the plasti dip to see how you like them. Shouldn't cost more then $30.
