I would appreciate any help that you can provide with this.
I need to get new tires for new wheels that I just got. I have Maxxim Advantage and am trying to keep them as light as possible. Each rim is 17 pounds and I want to get tires that will weight around 10 to 15 pounds. Question 1, is there such tires. And I guess my second question would be what tires do you recommend. I am looking for 215x45x17 or 215x50x17. I heard and can see through these forums that Sumitomo’s are nice, but I am not sure about them. Some local shop is offering a set of 215x45x R17 YOKOHAMA A550V for $300.00. Are they any good?

I might sound like a broken record, but all of this is new to me and I do not want to end up with another set of bad, heavy wheels.
