Pirelli PZero Nero M&S - 18s
Hey guys (& gails maybe?), I want to replace my aspec YOKOs and am considering the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. I read however that they are NOT recommended for the 18s. Has any had any experience with these as 18s?

Mont .. I opted for the 245's b/c I wanted better rim protection .. which I achieved. My previous tires were the ultra high perf. Kumho ASX 235/40/18's... they were a good tire (dry/wet/snow) but didn't protect the rims.
Did they say to avoid the brand/style of tire, or the particular size that I have (245/40/18)?

Peter,
Here is the review that was posted. I noticed that it is rather dated.
I upgraded to the (dealer accessory) 18" rims on the 2004 Acura TL -- BAD IDEA! After trying several other brands of tires -- Yokohama AVS ES100 and Yokohama AVS dB S2s (best 18" tire for the TL), I selected the Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S based in large part on the excellent tirerack.com reviews of this tire. This tire is absolutely incompatible with the front wheel drive Acura TL. The tire suffers from severe tramlining -- on the freeway, my car wandered all over the road. The tire also causes a torque-steer like phenomenom, when decelerating rapidly, or going over bumps and dips at low speeds. The noise level is high, but the ride comfort is good. 2004 Acura TL owners with 18" rims -- avoid this tire like the plague! --Review submitted: 2003-12-14
My rims are pretty marked up already. I'm going to look into getting them cleaned up. I'm heading out today to get the Pirelli's ordered and installed. I'm in the Chicagoland as well and will be heading to Florida in January. I think I will enjoy the new ride.

I ran these for a good 20k+ miles and the tread wear looks good so far for another season (I am running winter tires now on the 17" rims)
I like these tires, would recommend them and will probably buy them again when I need to replace them. I wasn't a big fan of the tread design, but then again I can't seem them when I am driving and you buy for the performance not the looks right? ;-)
Maybe the dude had other issues, alignment, balance, rims, etc ...with his tires, I like mine ALOT!

Peter has had good experiences, and if you search here for P-Zero Nero threads, I'm pretty sure you won't find any major complaints. Surely some folks will turn out to like other tires better but I'd be surprised if anyone here echoed what that TireRack reviewer said. Plus, it's just one review of, what, a hundred or so?

Hey Everyone!
I just got them put on and it has been snowing around Chicago. Now I know these have to get broken in, but the drive home was better than the ride to the tire store. I look forward to getting on some dry pavement with them.

I put the 18x8 A spec rims on my TSX with the 235/40r18's a couple weeks ago and i've noticed some of those same issues, specifically the wandering and the pulling on deceleration. i don't have any concern with the noise however but i will be having the alignment checked and wheels/tires rebalanced soon.

I have the 17's at 245/45/17 and just got them last week to replace the stock **itty Turanza's.
So far I love them...they stick to the road and are quiet. I haven't had any of the issues you mentioned.
But again, I just got them...
