Well, TOYO is $50 cheaper than PIRELLI but When I called Discount Tires, they said its a special order for those TOYOs.... On 1010tires.com TOYO tires have a better rating than PIRELLI too

go for the toyo's. INCREDIBLE tire. You will not be sorry and toyo tires have the # 1 rated quality reputation for several years ina row. They are ultra agressive looking as well and VERY smooth. Trust me

Also, I donlt know if you have an STS ( WTC) tire around but I got them for $150 installed including mounting and balancing. $ 17 extra each tire for road hazzard. 245/40/18's as well. Just about any good tire shop can order them in a day or 2. I would buyt them local for your own protection and in case you have to go back or damage one sometime. They also give you free lifetime rotations and balancing as well.

I just bought the Toyo Proxes 4 about 2 weeks ago and was making the same choice between the toyo's and the pirelli's. What pushed me to the Toyo's was overall customer reviews of the two tires favored the Toyo, some Pirelli customers are experiencing tramling. Also Toyo offers a 500 mile trial so if you don't like them you get a refund. I am happy with the Toyo's so far. Compared to the stock EL42s they handle better, the car is more stable, traction is better, noise and comfort are about the same. Pirelli is a good tire also, bottom line is they are both a lot better than the EL42s.

I have P-Zeros and now that the cold weather (A.M. temps below 40deg)has reached Atlanta I'm very dissapointed. I have flatspotting in the morning and occaisional tramlining on grooved interstates. Last week during a trip I parked the TL in my garage for 3 days, and the first morning I drove it I had REALLY BAD FLATSPOTTING for a mile until the tires warmed up!!! I have already had the wheels road force balanced.
First chance I get I'll be switching to Proxies.

I've been a Pirelli man since I was 18 (255/40/18) butI recently had a chance to drive the hell out of a car with the toyo's on them, and wow...its worth giving them a try.
