Well here are the pictures as received from broke_ua6 from this link in the black market
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/hre-446-wheels-19x8-31-goodyear-eagle-f1s-forged-3-piece-dfw-tx-856954/

As you can see in the pictures all of the lips need to be completely refinished and 2 of them have rust around the center cap as well as 2 of them being slightly bent in the rear. Not to mention the at least 5 years of baked on dust and grime in the barrels and seized bolts. Buyer beware

Pictures Part 2.... And note that one tire is completely shredded and looks like it was ran on while flat, one picture trashed tire, other picture good tire

ouch. The lips can be easily refinished (did mine yesterday) but the rusts and bends should have disclosed if they weren't.

Wow, it's sad to see such nice wheels in that kind of condition. HREs aren't cheap at all.

Without a doubt I would have the bends fixed. After that, if they are multi-piece wheels like I'm assuming, take everything apart and sandblast all of the finishes off so you can smooth out the metal. Then powdercoat the face and have the barrels refinished as well.

WOW! Guess his username should give a hint. Hope you get these fixed so you can enjoy them. His for sale thread clearly stated that there was NO bends.

Man that sucks. Did you file a dispute through PP? I recommend Wheels America if you have them near you. $135 flat rate per wheel -- fixes bent and re-powdercoats or fixes w/e you need. Lifetime warranty--nationwide

Kind of late .... he sold the wheels around 7/31/12.

Hope whomever got them, got pictures first.

Thanks for the info, I have been looking for places to take them that are reasonable.. I'll check the shop out in LA.

I can't file a paypal claim or I already would have I paid an invoice that he sent to me but he apparently set it up so that it wasn't directly linked to a good. I didn't find this out until i tried to file a claim and got an error.

looks like OP is the one that bought them! Sorry to hear that...once got ripped by a guy named kushsmoker420.

From now on, I only buy from members named "standupguy" and "Imsohonesti'llripmyselfoff"

I'm sure once they're refinished, you'll make out like a bandit. Those are 4K wheels...

Man that sucks. GL to ya.

I usually don't buy from anyone that isn't an established member here on AZ. (Minus Rockstar)

i have been buying and selling on here for quite a few years, should have gotten detailed pictures of each wheel and tire prior to buying. I thought this was required, they look great from 5 feet away but close up they need A LOT of work. Live and learn I guess, Ron A has been contacted and we will see what happens..

If you PayPal account was being funded with a credit card or your bank account, you can file a claim through either of them and it will not go through PayPal. This is a way more effective way of actually winning anyways rather than farting with Indian PayPal claim & dispute center.

Good luck.

Sorry, I think I mis-understood. I didn't realize you were the buyer. So you didn't get pics until after the sale?

Hopefully the poster(s) above are correct, you can get them fixed at a reasonable cost and have a set of baller wheels at a decent price.

sad to hear.. but since HRE are top quality wheels. I do recommend to replace the barrels.. I think you will be spending about $100 more, per barrel, then fixing.

If you check the link in my first post you will see the thread with the pictures he provided.. He took all of them from 5 feet away, and from 5 feet away they look great but close up which he did not take any of they need tons of work...Hence my problem.. He will not respond to any texts I send him, not sure if Ron A has tried to contact him or not. Looks like I'm holding the bag on this one

Ron A cannot do anything about this. I told you above, you need to file a claim through your bank or credit card company, whichever you used to fund your PayPal account for this purchase. They are much easier to work with than trying to file a claim through PayPal.

I was going to buy them
Thank God I didn't

If you paid by credit card, you are good
Just call them asap and file a chargeback

You will lose the shipping costs back but at least you won't have to pay a fortune to rebuild them

I just rebult my Hre's (for my bmw) and I did all the work myself and it was still pricey

If you decide to keep them and refinish them, I have a bag of spare bolts here somehere

It will take anywhere from 60-90 days if I remember right...PayPal will actually appeal the chargeback that you filed in defense of the seller which lengthens the process. It's a bitch to deal with.

Lol this is just some random picture from the Facebook that Majofo has listed on his Acurazine profile. Not sure who it is. He doesn't realize it yet so I assume that he just chose some random persons Facebook to list as his own.

It is 4 - 8 weeks through AMEX. I am a platinum member through them and I hit the paypal advantage membership within the first 2 months of the year. Hoping my spending a fortune will help my case, i wont hold my breath.

I've got pictures of Majofo :theghey:and that's definitely not him...

That one bent rim, that doesn't even look like something that would happen while installed on a car...

Better write that down. Once ManualTransmission pissed me off enough I posted his phone number and home address on here and it got taken down quickly.... with the help of one of the greatest recon guys on here.
