^No need for the attitude. He was just trying to help out.

I can't think of anyone that is running 255s on A-Specs.

All of these will be determined more by the brand and type of tire than the size itself.

In general and this is very general..... Wider will make more noise, grip will be higher and comfort will be unchanged or better from the OEM tires on the a-spec rims.

However, you can easily have a 255/40/18 that does the opposite of what I said.

What Inaccurate said does very much apply to you. Only change is the diameter but the aspect ratio and width is the same and it will behave very similarly in an 18. Take the lowered cars in that thread and picture them sitting 1/2" lower and that's what they would look like in your size.

out of desperation i picked up a used pair of 245/40/18 michilen primacy hp tires for 70$ installed. they have about 40% tread left so i got some time to weigh my options. im not sure what to excpet runnin 235/40 in the front and 245/40 in the back. its too soon to see the difference.

the 245 stick out a lil past the rims. looks nice and protects rims but 255 seems like it would look too wide for these 8' wide rims.

i think i am leaning towards sticking to 245 since its closer to oem specs
