P-Zero Nero Blew Out

One of my Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires blew out on a highway today. I'm really disappointed in these tires, they have just over 20,000 miles on them.

I think at this point I'm going to replace all four instead of just two. I sure don't want to go through this experience again.

Oh and I didn't have my wheel lock key with me. I thought you're not supposed to keep it in the car - kind of like hiding the key to your front door under the mat, isn't it? I had to be towed and I'm not putting the locks back on again.

Oh Narnia, Narnia ........ what are we gonna do wit yiz?

Try my tyiz. They're terriffic and hold up well to NYC potholes.
http://www.goodyeartires.com/eagle/eagleF1AS_innov.html

Mine were $139 each, mounted, balanced, and installed +$12.50 each for a full road hazard warranty at Mavis Tire. Call Mark on the 800# at their corporate office, ext 704 to get that price. www.mavistire.com

Consider getting an alignment too when you get the new tyiz.

Good luck ........

Hey DMZ how are ya? Well it's the LIE again, my personal nemesis.

I was looking at those tires, they're my first choice. But I have to go somewhere local because I'm going to drive over on my broken wing, so I can't go far.

I ended up with Toyo Proxes 4. Not my first choice, but those were close to the top of my list of possibilities and the only one my local guy had 4 of at a good price (he matched Tirerack's price for me). FWIW he told me even though my P-Zero Neros cost more he thought the Toyos were better tires and would wear longer. I hope he's right.

So far I like them, but I only drove about 20 miles today and will be taking a longer ride tomorrow. I love getting new tires, they make me feel like I'm driving a new car.

The wheel lock is to keep the casual thief from walking away with your wheels.
Keep it in the glovebox or with the jack parts in the trunk.
Mechanics and tire store guys big complaint?
Mr Dumasz left his car without the wheel lock again!! How are we supposed to work on it!

New tires take about 100 miles to get the silca mold release agents off the surface and really start working good for you.
