Offsets and Weights for these wheels?
My '99 Acura TL had the 17" CL Type S wheels on my car with 225/45's on it, but took them off for the winter because I had summer tires on them and had to change tires because of the winter. I put my stock wheels/tires on for the time. To make a long story short, I had them by my friends shop, someone saw them lying around and asked him about it, my friend asked me if I wanted to sell them, I said, "if the price is right". He ended up selling them. I don't want to go 18's because my car's gotten beaten up plenty from NY's wonderful pothole ridden Streets. I need a light, strong wheel with the correct offset to avoid rubbing. The stock wheels are 6.5" with a 55 offset. The CL-S wheels were 7" wide and 55mm offset. I tried going 235s on on of my CL wheels(I found one 235 tire lying around and had to try) and had no problems with clearance, but went safe and stayed with 225's. I've been looking into a few wheels, most notably the OZ Antares(17x7), AT Italia S5(17x7.5), Mille Miglia Action Sport(17x7) and the Mille Miglia Evo5(17x7).
I've done a search to look into Offsets and weights but came up empty on the web. I'm trying to go 235/45's instead of 225's but may end up with 225's again to avoid rubbing problems. Anyone know what the Offset and weights of the wheels I specified above?

Regardless of width, for your application and the tire size you want to run I would say look into at least +48 offset minimum. The higher the better. Those Evo5's look nice. Post pics when you get 'um!

Shoof, did I ever tell you that you suck at Photoshop? j/k
Those look pretty good on a TL. I have to agree, that I once bent a stock 17 inch MB SL500 rim in NYC...damn those pot hose are horrible there. In NYC they are not potholes, they are elephant traps.

Ahh, I E-mailed the Tire Rack on March 30th, I finally got a response today:
"Hi Eddie,
Your wheel information is as follows;
Mille Miglia Action Sport; 45mm offset, 27lbs.
AT Italia S5; 50mm offset, 26lbs.
Mille Miglia Evo5; 45mm offset, 24lbs.
O.Z. Racing Anteres; 45mm offset, 24lbs.
The only size correct for this car based on vehicle testing and diameter compatible with the programming in the engine/emissions control computer is 225/50-17.
Any one of these listed wheels with this size tire is pre tested, and will work correctly on your Acura."
Hmm.. I think I very well may go with the EVO5's with 225/50/17's....or 45's? It seems that 50's measure up to the OD of the stock tires much better than 225/45's.... But now, I noticed that there are no tires made in 225/50/17.....Hmmmm What to do, what to do...

Mille Miglia Evo5 should look real nice on your ride..
Nitto NT-450 and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S both come in 225/50/17
and believe it or not.. our stock MXM 4 comes in that size too.. But I know you want an upgrade tho..
You'll probably have alot more choices with the 225/45/17

On the tirerack site the recommended size for a 99 TL is 215/50/17.

All the wheels are pretty heavy!

I'm thiiiiiiiiiis close to getting the wheels/tires... I think i'm gonna go with 225/50/17's this time.. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S..They make it in that size. It also matches up to OD very close. Only thing is OUCH $202 each...about $187 each wholesale, but they are on backorder.. I wonder how long..Oh well. The wheels list for $189, but I'm getting them for $149, wholesale...MM EVO5's, 17x7..
