Offset question...
I'm interested in those Rota G-Force GunMetal...
![](http://www.rotawheels.com/images/products/gforce_2.jpg)
18 x 8.5 - 5 x 114.3 - +48
18 x 9 - 5 x 114.3 - +30
What offset do I need to clear the galiper in front?

Are you dropped at all? Rear camber kit? Fenders rolled? People go much bigger and wider than 18x9 but there are tons of factors when fitting wheels. Also are you going to stretch tires a bit? There is so many factors I don't know if I could give you a solid answer other than, yes it could fit.

18x9 +30 will fit but u'll probably need to roll the fenders in the back to avoid rubbing. on the 18x8.5 get the +30 offset, it won't stick out past the front fender...it'll be right inside it but u might also rub depending on what drop and size tire you have and might have to roll the fenders a little.
rims look pretty cool, i guess they are advan knockoffs. it looks like these wheels aren't really made for our cars unless you were wanting to go with aggressive fitment. i would try looking for something else that isn't as much work to fit.

Thanks for your inputs guys, appreciate.
How do I roll the fenders? The car will sit on Eibach Pro-Kit 1' F/B on 235/40/18.
I feel those rims...damn! Rota G-Force!

I saw this thread and thought I would chime in. I am new to this forum as my GF just purchased an 08 TL and I am familiarizing myself with this car.
I have an EVO IX(car pictured above) and to answer a few questions... this wheel is made by Rota which makes replica wheels of mostly all JDM wheels. The G-Force is the replica of the Advan RS and runs a similar offset to the real wheel. The Advan RS in this size 18x9 comes in various offset sizes... but to get the GTR face(concave face) you will need to run a +29 offset or lower. The Rota version runs at +30. At these offset you will have no problem with caliper clearence. I've ran the RS in this offset on my old 07 STi and also on my EVO and those cars have Brembo calipers stock from the factory.
I am surprised though how easy the TL can run fairly aggressive size wheels for a luxury sedan. If you run the Rota G Force with a 235/40/18 tire and drop the car with the Eibach, you may have to do a mild fender roll in the rear. I suggest you find a local performance shop that does this service as it takes a fender roller and a bit of skill in order to avoid damaging your rear fenders. The TL has pretty nice size rear fenders so it shouldn't take much fender modding in the rear. Also keep in mind that you will have to do an alignment on the car as well and also have the camber settings done to keep the car running to as close to factory settings as possible.
Find a shop and have them do all of it. Just bring the wheels and tires to them is the easiest way to do it. Fender rolling is not too expensive. The alignment will probably cost you more than the fender modding. I hope this helps.
I have owned STis and EVOs for over 3 years so this is common practice on these cars as they get modded like crazy
