Oh yes they do fit, and I even have H&R lowering springs. I will be getting Enkei Aegis wheels 19-8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the back. I tried on the 9.5's today and they fit fine. MANY times I have asked important questions regurding wheels on this forum but very few people acctually give that time of day to answer them, so I have now gone ROUGE. I will no longer listen to the rules of the TL page, I will go bigger than anyone has ever gone before. I am now the MASTER!(Diabolical laugh)...Rory

i think i chimed in before (if not in your post), but a 8.5" wide rim needs close to a +60mm offset to obtain the same amount of fender lip clearance as an 8" wide rim with a +50mm offset. considering you want 9.5s in the rear, you will have to go even higher with the rear offset! in either case, there may not be enough room left over where you won't rub at all, even with the ideal offset. plus i do not think ANY wheel maker has EVER offered such high offsets on such wide rims...i hope you are hooked up with enkei like nsx4dr. a camber kit will cause you even morrubbing problems, but since you can never rotate, you definitely be spending more in the long run.
anyway, good luck and let us know how it turns out...i hope others will not be saying "i told you so."

No I did not drive the car, yet. Time will tell, in a few days the wheels will be mine and then we'll know whos right and who is just plain scared. I do admit that this is no small feat, i am cutting it very close and I will settle for nothing les that perfection!
Rory,

I have installed aftermarket whels before, on my acura legend. And yes I do know what shocks are, but i dont care. The car shop I went to today is going to work with me on this, if the it turns out that that 19-9.5 wont fit with out riding perfectly they said they'ed replace the back wheel with 8.5, at no charge. I have nothing to loose. Rory

Why da hell do you want wider wheels in the back for, in the first place???!!!! I'm sure, (since you're so smart and all) you know that it's a RWD "thing." Sometimes I don't get people, they over look "functionality." It's like... if you live some where that averages 80 degrees all year around... but you like the looks of a chimney/fire place, so you had one added to your house... in this analogy the chimney/fire place serves no purpose... Do ya know what I'm gettin' at???!!!

oh man your car is gonna handle like shiat because our nose heavy fwd car already understeers quite a bit, not to mention by putting wider wheels and tires in the back is gonna make the grip on the rear much better than the front which means that your car is gonna understeer even more during the cars limits...which is gonna suck...also not only is it gonna understeer, the car with its understeering tendencies, is gonna lose the front end UNSUSPECTINGLY, and it will suck...trust me on this...and no rubbing??? please my "sorry" 7.5 width rim with 42 offset rubs even with 225/40/18 tires...take cares!

Wider wheels mean heavier wheels. You can enjoy your extra wide wheels when your car is stationary. But once you're on the road, other TL's with 7.5" or 8" wheels will blow you, in your 8.5" or 9.5" wheeled car, away in no time.

No offense... but just so you know, this tread is really really old, and the guy ("rory") has already went with the proper size wheels... (he learned the lesson).

acutally roy...i think u should get some sort of credit if you end up goig down a size...to 8.5 from 9.5...i believe the prices vary a little bit...so you are losing some $$$...if you do go step lower at NO cost...best luck to you!~ you are now the king of this TL world...and your name will always be engraved in my heart because you were confident and adventrous enuff to try something new...
(did that make ya feel better? i felt bad cuz people kept laughing at you...hope this makes ya feel better...)

Once again people... (please read all the posts before replying), this is a very old "tread" and to be honest... I don't even think rory_m is even active on this site anymore, if he is... he's using a different user name... let's close this topic already.
