IMHO the best winter tire you can purchase for all around driveability, but make certain the tire size/wheels are correct for the car.

I also picked up a used set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSI's to get me through 1-2 seasons. Bottom line they are amazing especially in deep snow! Get them!

I see you are also located in ON, with all the crappy weather we had this winter......the TL was unstoppable with these winter tires even with 1-2 seasons left. Always in complete control. I have experience with X-ice & Blizzaks and while they are excellent tires the Nokians are better in deep snow & ice. Also the colder it gets the better the tire performs. The only downside is noise. While not crazy loud I found the x-ice quieter.

While they are pricey, I am now a Nokian convert. I will save up for the next set.

^ Great to see another Canuck's feedback - I picked up a set of Yokohama IceGuards for this Toronto / Vaughan winter and am seriously underwhelmed.

Saw a lot of rave reviews on the Nokians and thats probably what I'll be budgeting for next season

thank you gents... so, what you are telling me is. 4 nokians mounted on 4 silver / steel rims for 600 cd, is a good deal. apparently they have 1 season on them.

Check the tire size to be sure as I don't believe Nokia makes the tire in the OE size, and check tread depth to be certain of life expectancy.
Also not certain of your year TL, but if >'06 check for TPMS sensors.
