New Tire Recommendations?
Hi...I have a 05 TL with a little over 36,000 miles. I finally need to replace the original Michelins. To replace the originals is going to be pretty pricey. Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar tire? I have the stock wheels, tires size...235/45/17. I'd like to pay around $100-$130 a tire. Thanks!

not vtech... VTEC!!!
In that price range I would go with the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S.
I ran Kuhmo MX before and they are great.... but they get loud after you run them for a while.
So far my PZero has been excellent...

Check the Tires, Wheels, and Suspension sub-forum and www.tirerack.com. I have ordered three sets of tires and one set of wheels from Tire Rack. They are excellent.

kumho makes great stuff, so does Toyo. I am running the toyo T1R's and they are probably the best performance tire for you money (18" rim). I will probably put proxes 4's on when i need a new set, slightly better tread life.

I'm considering Avon A/S M550 or maybe the Kumho ECSTA ASX to replace the stock EL42's. Probably will get them before end of next week. Overall most user reviews rank the Avons slightly over the Kumho's.
Tirerack besides having user reviews also does their own testing on some tires.

I second this comment about the PZero Nero's.
