alright I figure Ill start from the beginning and stop at the end.... anywho -- the wheels are Axia Sterna's - 8x18 +48 and the tires are some Toyo Proxes FZ4 205/35/18ZR .... the drop is coming soon!

I like the style of the wheel, but I’m not too sure about that tire size.
Even if they are 215 like you said, the diameter and your speedometer will be WAY off.
Stock is 25.464” Diameter
A 215/35/18 will only give you a diameter of 23.92”
That’s over 1 ½” LESS.

Dude, who sold and recommended those rims to you? If your CL is a type S, your stock tires are of course 215 50 17's. If that's the case, your overall circumference is 80" stock but with your 215/35 18's your circumfernce is 75.2". When your speedo reads 60MPH, your actuall speed will be 56.4MPH. The car will show more miles travelled on the odometer than what it really travelled.
A set of 215/40's or 45's would have been closer to stock. 45's being the closest.
Plus, being that it's smaller overall, it will make your car's appearance look that much higher. Even if you were to lower it, it will still look higher than another CL with the same springs with a set of wheels/tires having a stock or close to stock size set.
Even so, nice rims. Good luck with them and watch out for the potholes.

Those are some sweet wheels...good choice. I gotta agree with everyone on the selection of tires, you should have gone a bit wider...maybe 225's? Looks like those 215 needed to be stretched out to fit those wheels, ultimately reducing the sidewall height. That's why those tires "look" small. But the good thing is tires never last forever....so start driving them hard!
