Need tire advice

I am planning on ordering a set of 245/40/18 s for 18x8.5 stern st2 38mm offset. I need advice on tire selection. I drive 25 miles one way to work. My main concern is tire noise. I bought this car to enjoy the nice ride. I cannot stand road noise. I am in S. FL so snow is not an issue. I want it to look good but I dont want to lower it or sacrifice comfort. Throw some ideas at me for tire choice. Noise being the biggest concern.

Thanks!

Many opinions on this, but I'll suggest the Yokohama W4s. If you compare the specs, you'll see that it's the widest tire available in this size (9.2") with high marks for ride and noise comfort. I have the Yokohama Advan S4 in 245/45-17 which have been great, but would be quite a bit more at $211 in the 18" configuration.

This is for all season, but they will afford better wear than just a summer tire:

You do get serious sudden rain in FL- Summer/Performance tires are made to work in wet weather better than all season- which compromise in the silica in compounds to make them work in cold temps

I am running General Exclaim UHP- allegedly a summer tire- rated #1 by tirerack as that, and has M&S rating plus AA wet traction/braking
thats the best rating you can get
Surprising low price for the quality
tirerack is the source for info !
