Need opinions on these Sport Edition ST4 rims

For my TL-S. It's from tire rack. 19" and offset is 42mm. I've seen this style on some Mercedes.

I like them. Gives it "stock" feel to it. I found some similar rims to those that are a lot more expensive so I would jump on it.

I like them a lot as well. Good way to get rid of that wheel gap and keep it looking OE.

The website indicates that these wheels are at 28lbs each. Is this considered to be light, average, or heavy for 19s?

28lbs are pretty heavy in general. They look nice though, add a nice luxury/premium look to it.

Think it's more like 07 base TL rims.

for the price you are paying 28lbs for 19" rims is about right... you'd have to double the price to shed 8lbs in a similar wheel

Thanks for the input everyone. So I think I will be ordering these wheels in the next two weeks.

Now I need som help picking out tires. I'm a noob in tires. Tire Rack recommends 235 35 19. Is this the ideal size? I am also unsure what brand/model of tires I should get. I don't need something super expensive but I don't want cheap slippery tires either. I see the Kumho Ecsta SPT come in at $144 each which seems ok for me. I also see Bridgestone Potenza RE750 for $172 each. There are so many different tires. I'm sort of lost. Thanks for the help.

I would suggest kumho or falken for the price and quality of the tire. i currently have the falken fk452 in 235/35/19 and love them I also have a 42 offset

Hey there will be no same sex affection here... but yes I agree by those instead... I've yet to find a difference between sport edition and asa all their rims look the same have the same names but have different center caps (dunno wusssup wit that)

^ thanks for the great fine. I appreciate it. I will definitely take it into consideration. One more thing....tire rack does offer tire pressure sensors with the wheels. I don't how what to do with the ebay rims though.

With the ebay rims you just use your own tpms sensors or call up the seller (pretty sure if he's a legit wheel seller he can include them in there) if infact you will require using your own... best bet would be to see if you can get the wheels without mounting and balance

ok....

ASA & Sport Edition are the same exact wheels. Sport edition bought out the ASA label. and yes, they are all AMG knock offs.... i have the ASA ST3, which are now Sport Edition ST3.

Johnny2k also had ASA ST4. these where the rims i was SUPPOSED to get for blackura in chrome, but they were back ordered at the time.

I am know selling my ASA ST3, with plans to possibly but the S.E. ST4.. in chrome...

good solid wheels.. i have YET to bend or dent mine. I do know Johhny2k bent his, but he said he did it in chicago on a serious pothole..... want my opinion?? get them in chrome! will look good on SSM... i still might get them as well in chrome for my WDP.

PERRRRRFFEEECCCCCTTTTTT fitment. they are 19 x 8.5 +42mm (BBK clearance and all)

Well I finally placed the order on Tire Rack. 19" ST4, Kumho SPT tires, lug nuts, wheel locks, 4 tire sensors, and free mounting for under $1,600. I decided to pass on the the ebay wheels because I'm a bit concern about damages, exchanges, etc, etc. But thanks for the link stillhere153. Tire Rack shipped it out the same day I ordered it which is great service. It is scheduled to arrive next Monday. I'll probably have it installed the following weekend. Thanks for the helpful info everyone.

IMO , I wouldn't buy it b/c AMG boys will laugh at you.
But It does look nice on the TL indeed.
