Need new tires for 2007 TL Type S...need an opinion on what to get!!
I am currently driving a 2007 tl type s and I am in need of new tires. About 1.5 years ago I replaced the original front 2 tires with Yokohama Avid envigor's. After some research I chose them because they fit my budget and the reviews were great. About 10k miles later they are almost bold! I was going to just rotate them with the original rear tired n wait some more time before I changed them but just recently drove into pothole and now the passenger side front tire has a bubble!! That's NYC for u. I need some opinions for what I should get or at least help narrow down my options in all season tires...thanks!!

I second the S.Drives. They are great tires. If you're worried about wear though, they may not be your number one choice though.

I wouldn't recommend the EL42 for the TL based on its horrible reputation; I haven't tried the Primacy. Both are expensive.
All-season UHPs are a better, cheaper choice than Touring tires for me. I currently have the Bridgestone Potenza ES970 Pole Positions. My TL previously used the Yokohama Advan S4, which was cheaper and stickier than the OEM Pilot MXM4. The Advans lasted over 40K miles.
The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S may be an option too, and it's less costly and stickier than the Primacy; but I haven't tried it.
Those are summer tires, not all-seasons.

Discount Tire is giving a $100 Visa GC after purchase of 4 tires until today.
I've heard some good stuff on the new the Nitto Motivo tires, which would be $497 shipped after the GC.

I have the V12's. No problems here. They look real sporty too. Z rated I think. high enough for a factory aspec suspension or even a modified suspension. I have between 5 to 10k miles on them. I did rotate them once already. Slight wear on the front, no biggie though.

The most popular tires installed by AZine members on the 3G TL these days are the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I have mine since last December (1st 2 last October) and still no bubbles from these lovely NY area roads. I'd still buy them again in a heartbeat.
Since you're in the NYC area, call Mavis tire's 800# and ask for Mark J. Tell him you got a referral from Acurazine (He'll know it's from me) and he'll give you a better price than if you walk in to a Mavis Tire store cold.
