Need help on the rim

Today I went to a tire shop and try to purchase this wonderful rim. When I got there everything is ok. The salement are calling the other rim places to make an order on the rim. When the rims place ask what kind of car do you put this rim in. The salement say for the 2000 TL. The rim place say that rim not gonna do it. Because the ofset for that rim is smaller then the original of the tl rim. The TL rim ofset is 50 that what the salement say and the rim I want to purchase is 41. He say if i purchase this rim. The tire will hit the fender and it against the law for the tire and rim to so a little out. What you guy think. I want to formual something 164. and it an 18 inches rim. Is there any rim that fit our TL? that the ofset is 50?

I believe 7.5" with +41 offset will rub. The minimum offset for a 7.5" wheel is +46 (I think). Can anyone verify?

If you're planning on lowering your car in the future, stay with +45 or above for 18x7.5, and +50 or above for 18x8. Use this info. and do a search on the Web for wheels and you will get an idea of what will fit the TL. Also, check out the thread at the top of this forum to see what other members have put on their rides.
