Need Help Deciding Tires (19x8.5f & 19x9.5r +35)

I'm currently running a stretched setup at 215/35/19 & 235/35/19. The wheels are VarrStoen 2.2.2s. I know it's not too stretched but the ride is horrible (there are other factors as well) and I'm tired of dodging every pothole and manhole in NYC. I've already seen a few chips here and there and hitting a pothole really hurts. So my plan for next year is to throw on a new set of tires on along with powdercoating the wheels. I'm currently contemplating whether or not to go with 245/35/19 & 275/30/19, 245/35/19 & 275/35/19, or 245/40/19 & 275/35/19. I want the rim protection and a comfortable ride since I commute at least 60 miles daily but I also want something that will give my car a great stance. Can you guys post some 245/35/19 & 275/30/19, 245/35/19 & 275/35/19, or 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 on 8.5/9.5 setups?

Here are some pics of my car:

Nice car bro..Since you are not lowered, i would just stick with a 235/35/19 for the front and a 265/30/19 for the rear..I think you should be fine with those spec tires..

I forgot to mention that I plan on getting coilovers installed next spring as well. I don't plan to slam it though.. probably 2-2.5" max. I'll get the fenders rolled if needed.

well im tein basic coilovers. I'm maxxed out in the rear and about 1/4 inch left in the front from being maxxed out. Im running 19x8.5 +35 with 235/35/19 in the front and 19x9.5 +40 with 265/30/19 in the rear...My fenders are rolled..I dont rub at all and ride is not bad at all...Certain bumps you feel but thats normal for being so low

Italiano, as you can see from my OP I'm trying to move away from a stretched setup. I'm already running 235/35/19 on the rear wheels (19x9.5 +35).

I'm looking at either 245/35/19 & 275/30/19, 245/35/19 & 275/35/19, or 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 to give the rims some protection and also drive comfortably. If anyone is running tires on their 19x8.5/9.5 wheels, please help me out .

Im just considering that you are wanting to drop your car 2 1/2 inches like I am..that changes everything when it comes to tire size..sometimes different tires give you more lip protection then others even at the same size...once you drop it from looking at how your rear sits...I stick by my specs I gave you...215 in the front is def not nessasary...Im running more agressive specs then you with 225/35/19 all around...

How about rolling the fenders and dropping the car about 1.5"-2"? Maybe 2.5" is too low.

Since you live in NY and are already complaining about road conditions and trying to avoid pot holes, I wouldn't go much lower than 2". I'm at 2" and I think it looks good enough right there. Would I go lower, sure, but then I run into issues with road conditions as well and then it becomes a bigger pain in the ass to get into driveways and even some parking lots that don't have a level entrance.

And I would go with Italiano's tire size recommendation. 235 front 245 rear. I have 8.5 rims all the way around and have a 235 tires. It is very very minimal stretch and the ride quality is great.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I found a fitment that I really like:

Anybody know how what tire specs should I have to achieve this look?

245's on a 8.5" wheel are way more than enough to avoid stretch. You could run a 235 on a 8.5" and not have any stretch. I'd go 245 front and 255 rear, or 245 all around. I can't imagine a 275 will fit on the back without rubbing unless you're only lower about 1".

First thing would be if you want a comftorble ride is work on your suspension......As for you you don't want to stretch,it's going to be hard If you are going to lower the car...

Nice, you think a 255/30/19 will rub if I'm running a +35 offset? I'm leaning towards maybe 255/35/19.

I just bought F&F Type 2's.. hopefully it'll give me a decent ride. Don't think I'd lower the car more than 2" TBH.. 1-1.5" is what I'm aiming for.

Now this is an awesome stance:
