Need Advice Buying Tires
Greetings,
I have a 08tls, stock rims, live in PA. I dont drive my TL in the snow, or ice, occasionally in the rain. Im looking for a tire that has great performance, but with some durability.
Not too concerned with Snow/ice handling at this point. I was thinking of just getting a summer tire, but after researching on Tire rack, I found summer tires should not be driven under 40 degrees. I do drive my TL in the winter, just not in the crap.
Suggestions?

With so many threads ongoing, the selections are many, but I'll start with All Seasons for the reason you suggested:
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 245/45-17
I have the Yokohama S.4 245/45-17. Great all around tire with a extremely wide tread width 8.8", good ride, great handling, 30,000 miles so far and plenty of tread remaining, but they do flat spot to the point of being annoying. The riding on square tires deminishes in a mile or two, but last year the car sat for 2 months when the ground was covered with "crap" and it took abount 10 miles before the tires straigthened out. After that one could drive any speed and not a touch of vibration until the car sat again.
The Hankook V12 is a summer only tire.

Is there a reason you recommended the 245 tire when the stocks are 235's?
