My new rims won't take the TPMS, what do I do?

I just got a set of Axis Matrix. My wheel shop says they can't mount the TPS. So what will happen if I don't have the sensors? Will I be able to get rid of the warning lights and beeps from the car? Someone please help!!

So far there is no way to disable the warning and lights. So you have to live with it. I'm with out the TPMS and all it does is it has one warning chime and the light stays on, thats it. But it would be kool to disable it

Some tire shops don't want to fool with the TPM sensors. They're affraid they might damage one and have to replace it. Call around and see if another shop can do it. If no luck, take them to your Acura dealership. Ask if they can mount them for you. My dealer mounts after market wheels on some new and used cars on the lot. Many have the TPM.

I hope you can find a fix.

maybe they are being lazy. plus they dont want to mess up your sensors.
i'm sure it could be adjusted
the valve is long
did they explain/show you why/how it doesnt fit?

Good idea, I am going to ask my dealership if they can dismount the tires and mount the sensor for me.

The sensors will work. Go to another tire ship.

The dealership just told me they will not mount the sensors for me. They tried to talk me out of using aftermarket rims. They don't want to be responsible for anything.... jeez

Go to Discount Tire and see if they'll do it.

The tpms is actually a government mandate. All cars by 2008 on US roads are supposed to have TPMS. It will be against the law for a tire shop to knowingly disable a tpms system. It is conasidard a safety system much like air bags.

You can throw the tpms in the spare tire, set it at 38psi and that will take out the light.
