How hard is it to get those warranties to pay for a new tire? and how long does it take to receive the new tire? Tires in the size I seek, whether stock or the new size I'm looking for, are not easily available locally, and I'm not about going for weeks on a donut tire if the warranty will give me a hard time.
Besides, I've always seen those warranties (and any extended warranties ) as just added profit for the seller, so I've avoided them except for cars I intend to keep for a long time, and Apple Powerbooks (which are more problematic than in the past ).

I've just had the worst time trying to get one of my fiance's tires replaced by this so called warranty. She bought 4 mich pilot AS a few months ago at BJ's wholesale club and 1 tire is bulging (probably due to pothole) on the side. After 2 days of running back and forth, which was ridiculous, we finally got the okay to get the tire replaced. However, they only refunded 62% of the tire and I had to cough up $90. Now they have to order the darn tire! Road hazard sucks! You'd think the warranty would cover the tire completely, but it did not. It's not like she ran over the pothole intentionally. At least you get some money back I guess. By the way BJ's suck!!! They give you the hardest time and made it seem like the damage was done on purpose. Sorry about the rambling.
