Forget rim protection, you need pothole protection. I just hit one today & all the air came out of my tire. Rim is bent so bad the bead is exposed. Looking for a wheel repai in So Cal.
I had 235/35

Congrats on the new wheels! Those are sexy.

What's the width of the wheels? I'm running 245's on my 8.5" wide A-Specs.

Go with a 245/35/19. It will give you a little bit more protection then a 235 will.

Congrats!!

What is the offset on them? Are you still rocking the tokico/comptech setup? If so you should be fine with 245/35/19 no rubbing with them when I had my 19's which were a +35 offset and on the tokico suspension.

You all have been giving the OP advice without all of the information. You HAVE to know how wide the rims are before recommending a size.

So, OP, how wide are the wheels?

these were TrevorT's? (https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/volk-gt-s-19-x-8-5-sale-760766/) If that's the case, they are 19x8.5 +36mm.

If that's the case, go for 255/30/19 all-around if you can afford it.

I'm slammed on Neuspeed race springs with 245/35/19 and an offset 1mm less than yours and I never rub...you should be good.

Are they pretty strong, Around here potholes are here and there so i know where they are and dodge them. I'm a casual driver!

But now just get a set of tires for them and i should be set. I found a set of 245/40 tires Michelin ps2. I might get those.

Another thing guys my tpms sensors are still attach to my old aspecs, can someone show me how to take them off?

I hope soon good thing we have winter months to hold off till then. Just ordered my tires tonight, i went ahead and went with nitto invo, great reviews on those and couple members have them and are happy with them. Those toyo t1r are hella expensive.

Then as soon as i can get some info for the tpms straps then i should be set. Where can i get them. The valves on 2 piece wheels looks different then normal valves. HELP guys!

Update the tires came in today. I went and bought a set of 245/35 Nitto Invo. Heard some great reviews for them and cant wait to get them on. Then about friday the straps/brackets for the tpms should be in so hopefully get all things all put together and mount them on the car for some pics (weather permitting though, heard another snow storm is coming).

Why don't you have them drill a hole on the inside of rim for the TPMS to stick out like the valve stem. No one will see it & you avoid straps inside your tire that can come loose. That's what I did.

I think there is a hole already but its connected by this "L" shaped stem.

So is there another way to avoid straps?

That is your valve stem. Don't mess with that. Any custom wheel shop can drill a 2nd hole on the other side of the rim (inside) for the sensor to stick out. Look at this pic of my dented wheel.

That stem sticking out with cap is my TPMS. The chrome stem is on the other side (front). Understand?
I'm assuming your wheel has room for it but can't tell by the pics.

Don't drill a hole. Volk said hell no when we asked that question a while back.

Use the strap method and it will be fine. I rode with it for over a year with no problems. Just make sure it's good and tight.

I had the EXACT same tire and size as you just ordered so you should be fine.

Want my TEIN's?? I have the EDFC and strut bar that go with them too!

Damn, those nittos keep going and going and going!!! I have the nitto 555 on my car and I just hit 37k on the set and it looks like I have at least another 15k to go. If I get 50k out of these tires, thats 20k more than the general uhp tires I have always run. I'll let you know in three months when I hit that mark. You never hear miles like that out of a low profile wide ass tire!

Rims+Tires+lugs= empty wallet. But i am saving up to pick up the base atlp exhause that is wandering around the black market!

Nitto invos during winter? you are going to get killed... I had nitto invos on my black rpf1s long ago when i was still at school upstate.. i could barely get up an incline in snow with the invos. but superb choice for performance tires.... grippy as hell.

just be careful....
