Michelin Pilot Super Sports

Michelin Pilot Super Sports
Just bought a set of michelin pilot super sports for my stock type s rims. And I must say these tires are incredible. I took a 90 degree turn at 90 km an hour and they didn't even squeak. I thought the car was actually going to go onto two tires.

So you're judging a set of tires based off of one turn?
Usually I make my decision when the tires barely have any tread left

What size and how much did you pay? I've been looking at these but haven't pulled the trigger. I LOVED the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, but they were discontinued......

I paid 1049.00 for them here in Canada which is probably more expensive then down south of the border, although i still think i got a deal. And as for being pricey I had a pair of micheline Pilot sports on my 2002 GTI and i had them for almost 5 years which really say something about their durability. So I rather pay a bit extra and save in the long run by not having to change tires every two seasons. Also they have remarkable grip off the line. Where my Bridgestone RE760's use to light up each time I floored it in first its really difficult and sometimes impossible to accomplish this in the dry.

Thanks - that much I know, but not sure if he went with the stock width and profile. Lots of folks, myself included went to 255/40 R17 when I replaced the OEMs. I have 18 x 8.5 A-Specs and don't remember what was stock on them, but am currently running 255/40 R18.

See, mine have 50% nitrogen and 50% helium. I can actually lift the two inside tires about two feet off the ground when I take a 15 mph curve at 145, but they squeal like a little girl when I do. Could the helium be causing the squealing???

Check the fitting in pins on those diverter valves to ensure TOP TIER status on high speed curves.....
