Mesh-Style Wheel That Clears Brembos???

Hi all. I've read through the wheel/tire spec thread but didn't really find what I'm after. Originally, I was looking at a set HP Racing Lightning (mesh-style) in 18x8 (ET +38). However, after calling them up to check caliper clearance they felt that I would need spacers, probably minimal though. So, my first question is A) does anyone know of a similar mesh-style wheel that does fit over the Brembos and B) just for giggles, are even small spacers (5mm - 10mm) still too dangerous and not a real option these days (my wife would driving this car as well so I really wouldn't want to put her in any jeopardy)? Thanks everyone...

I ran Volk SE37's in 18x7.5 over my Brembos. I needed an H&R hubcentric 5mm spacer too.

I should ask, does anyone know how wide you can go on the TL?

the axis comes in a skinny 8.5"

I may have somewhat outdated information but on spacers but I've always seen people shy away from them. That said, I'm curious to hear what people think these days. Perhaps the material has improved and/or the thickness that our TLs would typically need (5-10mm) don't require lug extensions thus not really changes the load characteristics. Anyone have any thoughts on this...

You can put spacers on without a problem and it doesnt affect performance at all. Your wife will be safe if you put spacers on and you can go as wide as 10 on a TL. I wouldnt do 10 in the front but you can do it in the back.

I know RevolutionSignworks put Privat Netz on his 6MT and it cleared without spacers. His specs are 19x8 +30 offset though. People that tried the +40 offset were unable to clear the brakes.

Look into the BBS RS-GT (18x8 and 40mm offset). No spacers needed.
