Megan racing coilover problems!! =(

ok guys so ive had my megan racing coilovers for over a year. they are and were perfect until recently im hearing mad noise on the rear one. the ride is still smooth but from 0-30? it rattles. i dont hear any banging from the struts and the car doesnt shake. but the sounds is getting kinda annoying and worrying me alittle. the cars slammed. i am thinking of raising it back up in a couple of weeks. i drive normally but have abused them alil over time. please help me and tell me what could be the problem. a crack or broken? if so what could i do? megans have warranty? and if i raise my car will it go away?

thanks so much.

I'm thinking about getting megan coilovers. Did you figure out what the noise was?

Just ordered these coilovers, so I'm trying to get a good idea of what type of issues may come up. Looks like I'll be checking these bolts every 10K-15K miles. I was about to purchase the Tein Advance, but didn't like the idea of using the lower spring perch to adjust ride height. However, that's just my preference, and in no way my judgement on the quality of Tein coilovers. Especially since I've never owned a set.

Yup tighten the top hat bolt they sometimes will loosen up very slightly and make a clunking noise when going over bumps or just hitting dips etc.... Simple fix... Nothing dangerous just annoying.. It's common with Megan's and most should tighten these bolts prior to installing them to help remedy this problem

Murph, you think a little loctite on the threads may help to keep them in place?

I tightened mine down once after having the issue and they have never acted up again.... I just think they aren't 100% tightened from the factory in some cases

Same thing happened to my ISC's a couple weeks ago. Easy ten second fix.
