MB battles, and TL Type S?

Hey, if anyone knows please post. I'm about to get these MB battles my TL, but I was wondering if anyone knew if these would clear the TL-S brakes without needing spacers? I was thinking about getting 17x9 with a +15 offset wheel with 235/45 or something like that.

Please let me know..

+15 is more than enough to clear the tl-s brakes. You'll be fine

Thanks guys, yeah I was looking to get a set of these for my "winter" wheels to replace the CCW's. From what I know Acura contracted Brembo to make the brakes for the TL-S models. These brakes are freakin huge!

Hopefully everything works out good.
Thanks again.

The rims posted are on a TL-S....
if you get the exact set up as him, of course they are going to fit.

Please learn about offsets!!

Gee thanks tough guy, I know what an offset is, so can you tell me what exact set up that guy has, I've been trying to research that for 2 days?

Don't state the obvious, and be an ass dude. I'm just asking a fare question, I don't know if that guy has spacers for those wheels or not, or even what size they. If you have some good information about what I'm trying to find out please let me know.

+15 should clear with no problems. I ran a +29 set of advans on my TL-S and they was good. Many people are running +20 XXR's.

Not sure about the tire sizes. Really depends on how low you are. If you are going low with a 235 tire on a +15 wheel might not work.

alright thanks.. I was thinking about raising it up about 1"1/2 or 2". The TL is pretty slammed currently, too low for winter. I So i was checking wheel sizes this morning, looks like its going to be a 17x 9.5. Would 225/45 work better? I'll research on it, but let me know if you know about that.

Would 17X9 +30 clear the Brembos? If not, would a 5mm spacer be enough to help them clear?

Love the Pedobear decal in the back window! lol That blue TL looks amazing. I think the quality of the photo really helps too.

Did you ever get the wheels and what were the specs if you did because I was thinking of running the same setup for my winter mode.

Thanks

holy thread revival!

despite my previous comment above, I wouldn't go with 17s if i were you. They look way too small on the car.

maybe I was just mesmerized by the KBP. haha

Why people like these skinny ass tires on such a big car I will never know, might as well buy a Civic.

I just asked a simple question, and everyone likes their own way of modding their vehicle, no need to bash

No man, it's my fault, I didn't say it right. I know fitment trumps tire size 99% of the time anyway, who the hell sees the tire size underneath? Not many people. I'm that one in a thousand weird guy that likes them wide, but I can appreciate those +15 offsets for sure, just wish I could have both worlds, +15 and 275!

Your BIL doesn't know about these cars then, all 3G TL's have the same fenders.
