Lugs for Axis Hiros?

ok so i bought new shoes for the TL about 2 months ago (Axis Hiro's hyper silver 19's, 235/35/19) and realized how easy it is to strip the lugs that come with it, has anyone else had this problem? ive actually stripped 2 of them and it took me hrs to get them off and i actually damanged/scratched 1 of my rear rims trying to get the stripped lug off..anyone suggest new/different lugs to use on Axis Hiros? either black or chrome look? im nervous to take my wheels off unless i have new lugs to replace them with so i dont have to deal with the headaches of ruining brand new set of wheels

ok replace all your wheel studs with arp stock length, then get yourself a set of close ended muteki lug nuts

+2 on the Muteki lug nuts. I run them. Haven't had any issues with them and have had my rims taken off and put back on numerous times.

just hand tightened..im not torqueing them crazy tight..the key that slips inside the lug to twist on and off the lugs eats away at the tiny metal slabs that grab on the inside of the lug little by little and it basically strips it, just a pain to get them off once there on so im trying to advoid removing them right now until i have new lugs. how hard is it to replace the wheel studs? never done it before - wouldnt even kno where to begin

If they take the tuner style lugs this is what I use and they been on and off prolly 20 or so times. The locking one is multi splined and has its own key if you decide you want to have one on each wheel.

wheel studs? VERY EASY...

the rear is like out of a 1 to 10 difficutly I give it a -50

the front requires you to do a little skillfull ghetto rig... you can hammer all the front one's out but to get them in there is an annoying dust shield behind the hub which you can bend and hammer in the new studs

tool to make your life easier impact hammer

The stock acura wheel takes a spherical type lug nut and most aftermarket that I have had / seen take a conical lug nut.

Here is a link explaining it

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...sp?techid=102&

Here is the ones I got for mine and they are 12mm x 1.5 , I also ordered 4 locking ones of the same style.

Having the wheel supplier tell you "any" acorn nut will fit is pretty slack given they can be 3 different seat styles. And the size of the holes in the wheels can also dictate the type of lug needed.

To make sure take a lug off the wheel and look at the seat to see if its spherical or conical.
