Lowest height!

Lowest height!

I had an 03 tl types before this. when I installed coilovers on it to "slam" the car out you could hear some part of the suspension (not to sure which one it was) hitting the inner fender well. From your guys experience what would be the lowest height that you could go with out hearing that noise? I hope you guys under stand what I'm talking about I've tried searching for what it's called but probably searching the wrong words. Any help would be appreciated!

just don't bottom out your springs. If your spring rate and dampening is tuned properly, you shouldn't have that problem.

I don't think i'd ever drop a TL more than 2.5"

I think there's a point where the suspension arm? So to speak will hit the inner fender. My plan was about 2.5 inches from the current height of whatever eibach drop springs give

You should be fine I believe. That noise you here is the upper control arm hitting the top of the inner fender or whatever where the strut bolts up to. I'm sure I'm a little more than 3" dropped (never measured) and the only time I heard that noise if these is an irregular bump or dip I didn't see. Only way to fix that is learning how to drive on your roads and stiffer spring rates, which I'm planning on doing in the near future with BC Racing Coils.

With a drop >2", why not save money and go coils?

Yeah I'm gonna get coil overs it's just that the car came with eibach springs. Tbh I didn't even know it was lowered until I was putting rims on.
