if you want low, skip springs and save for coilovers. no reason to do it twice when you can get what you want the first time.

If you go low on springs, you'll need new shocks, like a Koni Yellow. So it's that, or Coil-Overs.

Race springs will drop you up to 2 inches, maybe more. Sport spings usually 1" - 1.5"

What you gain in drop with springs you will loose in overall suspension travel, and we dont have much to begin with. And your stock shocks will blow and you will be buying coilovers anyway

This is true, but given the measurements that do not seem to satisfy the OP, it seems that skipping springs and going straight to coilovers may be his best bet.

However, if you do go w/ the springs, make sure you heed mr bearcat's advice. it is well advised.

^^give him a chance he's new..lol

Lets start off buy what are you looking to spend?

Basic 600-750
W/ dampening $870 n up

I've have spent money on springs saying the same thing you said and in the end it's a waste if money, save and get coilovers.
