Lowering Springs?

I was looking to lower my TL a little (1.5 inches) and was looking at getting some Tein Springs. Are these good springs for lowering your car? Are the springs the only thing I need to buy?

Very new to this modification thing and trying to do one thing @ a time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone!

I have Tein s-tech springs, and they ride very close to stock. I would also suggest new shocks, like Koni adjustables or Tokico HP's. Do yourself a favor and switch out the shocks when you change the springs so you don't have to do it later on down the road.

Say $350 - $600 (ball park) plus installation or DIY.

If he goes with the Tokico's, he can get all four corners covered for just over $600, and that includes the cost of the springs. Professional installation can be expensive, so you should figure $200-$300 for that. NOW... coilovers would be benificial for those who really want the flexibility to adjust not only the dampening, but the ride height. I'm not sure if that is what he is aiming for, but if he plans on installing things himself, then perhaps upgrading to coilovers would be just the better move. It would all be relative, give or take a $100 or so.

the spring rate on the new springs will wear out your stock shocks, get tockio blues, it seems like your on a budget, i have them and no complaints after 20k. or if your going to diy buy tein basic coilovers and its basically the same price!

I'm happy with my H&R Sport Springs and Koni Sport shock setup. It gave me a gorgeous 1.5"+ drop and a definitely tighter grip on the road. I still have stock wheels but the Pirelli PZero Nero's are an awesome addition. Now I race the suburban twisty's exactly how I tell my teenage daughter not to!
