Low Tire Pressure Alert Problem
With the cooler tempratures over night, I find that when I take my '08 TL out of the garage and into the street the Tire Pressure Alert system activates.
I usually keep my tires at 30PSI but it seems the threshold for the alert is 29PSI.
During the day the pressure rises to 32PSI and I guess I can pump the tires up a few more PSIs to bypass the alert but I am concerned that comes too close to the maximum of the tires.
The dealership said they are aware of this issue and that the system is too sensitive but cannot be turned down or off. They also suggested to increase tire pressure and the weather gets warm that air out.
Has anyone else had this issue?

just take them out... I am currently rolling on the stock wheels and the tpms sensors are in my aftermarket set... it takes 15miles for the tpms to realize that the sensors aren't in...
and regardless it isn't a major pain for the light to go on for you is it...
other thing I would suggest you do is keep the cold tire pressure at 30psi (which is your desired level) check that once a week then should be ok

32 maximum of the tires? noooo some people like running on the tracks at 35psi and then the hot condition probably causes them to go higher.
I've noticed mine does that alot as well here in VA, never in FL. Gets annoying but I say just pump up the PSI to 32, I think thats what the door panel says to run

Yeah I had the indicator to raise the tire pressure light up, so I just raised the PSI to a couple lbs. I usually run my tires at 32+ on warm conditions sometimes I've seen it hit 37 on a very hot day, with a good amount of driving.

Street tires can be run every day with a cold PSI of 40 or so with no ill effects to the tire, assuming that there are no alignment issues, although those pressures are not the optimum for street use. Tire sidewalls indicate that "max" pressure is up into the high 50 PSI or low 60s.
I found that I like 37F/34R or so in my TL (stock 17" wheels). My OEM MXM4s look like they will last to 50K miles, although I was hoping to replace them @ 25K-30K with higher traction tires. I'm at 28K now and the tires have half the tread left; I'm not driving the car hard enough.

I put 33psi in mine. Checked them the other morning with the temp outside at 38 degrees. Now after riding for a while the sensors read at 35psi and the alert hasn't come back on.

I don't run the sensors in my aftermarket wheels .

Thank you for your suggestions. The easiest thing for me to do as several of you suggested was to pump another 4-5 PSIs into my tires. That seems to have taken care of the roller coaster COLD evenings and WARM days.
