Low Dust 6MT Brembo Brake Pads
I need to replace my front brembo pads on my 05 MT and I wanted to see what the best low dust option is. I would like to get a pair for under $100 that barely dust and have close to the same stopping power as the stock pads. I don't track the car, just the occasional spirited driving. I hate how much the stock pads dust and the stopping power they provide is more than sufficient.
I was looking at on amazon but wanted some other opinions, thanks

Akebono street performance ceramic pads. They have almost no dust at all it's amazing. They also stop very well and are the best brake pads I've ever had. I can literally go a few weeks and run my hand across the wheel and have barely anything on my finger

I've had very good results with Wagner Thermo-Quiet Pads, MX1049, around $26 from rockauto.
Very low dust with adequate stopping power.
More Information for WAGNER MX1049

Wow, so glad someone started a thread on this because we only have about 10,000 other threads on the same subject....

Definitely go with the Akebono Street Performance. It is the yellow box. I've used the OEM brembo pads, Duralast C-max, Stoptech street performance, and the Akebono SP model.

I guess I could have added on to another thread, I really wanted to know all the low dust options specifically though, especially since a few of the threads I did look through were relatively old.
I think I will go with the Akebono Street Performance since they seem to be the most preferred, does anyone happen to have the specific part number? I don't want to make the mistake of getting the ones designed for automatics.

Anyone know how the akebonos compare against racingbrake?

I can't compare, but I can tell you that my RB ET300's have 150K on them and they aren't even half worn...
These photos were taken in November, 2015 when they had about 140K on them:

I'd say 70/30 highway/city driving...

I hope, and assume, you're using those ET pads with RB rotors? I think I remember Marcus explaining that the RB stuff is much harder than most. Both the pads and the rotors.
Mine have probably 40k on them, 50/50 hw/street, and they are about toast.

Nope, Brakelab drilled/slotted rotors:
HIGH PERFORMANCE Brake Rotors
Price: $110.75
Quantity: 1.00
Inventory SKU: BL-ACU044-F-EDS
Date: 4/30/2011 7:13:57 AM
They are wearing normally. I don't remember the measurement I took in November, but they were still well within specs...

That's likely the reason why you're getting such longevity out of those pads.
As long as it's wearing alright who cares I guess.

I've never seen anything on the RB site to support that. Like I said, rotors are still well within limits after 110K (pads were replaced before the rotors).
