Looking for a good tire
Looking for a good set of 4 tires for my 08' TL. I live in Florida, so snow isn't a concern. I do not do anything fancy with the car. Not looking to break the bank. Suggestions?

conti DW? i have no personal experience with them, but i have read good things about them. or nitto motivos? early reviews are quite favorable and priced nicely.
just throwing some tires out there.
are there any other criteria you are looking for? we know no snow and not breaking the bank...handling? treadwear? the two i mentioned above would be the first two i'd look at if i lived in FL. all seasons? summer (bearing in mind summer tires tend not to play well in cold (<40-50 degrees) and/or rainy conditions.

Tires
I went through this about a year ago with my 2005 TL. I tried some Goodyear tires that were about $300 less for a set of four. I can't remember what the type was but the tread pattern was kind of "aggressive". That's all I remember the sales guy saying. I had wear issues only on the rear. The tires cupped and didn't last. I did the rotation as recommended by the store, every 6 thousand. The ones that started on the rear did ok on the front but after 12 thousand they were back on the rear and were destroyed after another 6 or 7 thousand. So, I got about 18 or 20 thousand out of two of the tires, and had to be replaced. Eventually the older pair developed the cupping and were ruined. I went to my Acura dealer and replaced all the tires with the stock Acura Michelins. The Acura service folks said they had no idea why the tires wore the way they did. My shocks and struts were fine, the car had about 70 some thousand miles on it at the time. After about 20 thousand miles on the Michelins I see no sign of any unusual wear. This has been a pretty expensive lesson.

stay away from good years.
for whatever reason like the above poster mentioned^^ good years disagree greatly with the TL. i went through a set in 9k miles in less than a year. suffice it to say i was not pleased and neither was my bank account.
i have the conti DWS tires, so far so good, no issues.

I vote for the Hankook V12's as well. or the replacement for the General Exclaim UHP. both great summer tires at a bargain.

The Continental DW's will be a good tire for you, in Florida.

Thanks for the info. I have to do some research with my current tires. I have about 18,000 miles on them and they are almost bald..I'm going to see what kind of warranty terms they have. I believe it was like 40k or so. I'll let you guys know!

Agree completely! Had to take mine off cuz I upgraded a wheel size but wish I had bought them again instead of my nitto motivos. They are quiet and perform great. Will purchase for my next pair again! Selling my Kumhos in the BM if anyone is interested in getting a pair for cheap!!

I recently put 4x Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my car, they were the top-rated summer UHP tire on consumerreports.
About $250 each and they were only available from Costco, I payed the $50 for a membership with them since the tires were cheaper if I bought the membership than if I bought them at the higher price without the membership.
