Thumbs up Just Installed The New Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons - 1st Impression

I have barely 100 miles on these guys so far, and based upon my initial impression,
THESE TIRES ROCK!

I trashed the original Bullshitstone EL-42's for the Falken Ziex 512's when the car was 600 miles old, and that felt like a huge step up. Going from the Falkens to the Eagles is a step up of at least the same order of magnitude. The Falkens weren't bad, but these tires blow them away. The immediate differences I notice are in cornering and ride comfort. I can take turns with less effort and don't feel as many road imperfections.

The Falken 512's and the new 912's are only rated 360 A A.
The Eagle F1 all seasons are rated 420 AA A, hence longer tread life and better traction.

Haven't tried them on wet roads yet, but in these Tirerack tests, they excell above all the others in wet conditions, where safety counts most.

And remember folks, the design of these tires is based on the original Eagle F1's, the top rated high performance tire on the planet.

Updates to follow ..........

Glad to hear you like 'em.

Nice find on that test reports too; it's only been up a few days. The Tire Rack testing indicates that all four of those tires are top notch. I'd guess it's hard to go too far wrong with any of them.

As you know I've been touting the BS 960 AS since putting them on my '02 TL-S. They were a HUGE improvement on the (worn out) Yoko ES???. Now, when I can finally dump the MXM4's ( ) on the '07, I'm really gonna have to give very strong consideration to these GY's.

I had a set of F1s on my '06 Accord (with Centerline wheels). They're nice tires.

The loaner car TL I had last week was fitted with Bridgestone EL42s. I couldn't believe how HORRIBLE those tires were.

$139 each (235/45/17) from www.Mavistire.com, mounted, balanced, and installed at one of their stores. Got that price from Mark J. at their corporate headquarters.

Plus $12.50 each for a road hazard warranty.

And don't forget the sales tax!

How is the noise level with the F-1 tires? One of my friends has a VW-R-32 with F-1's...he didn't like the noise level.....so he dumped the Goodyears for the new Michelin Pilot Sport. He likes the Pilots better...mostly for road noise issues.

No noise issues that I can tell so far. Are you sure he got the Eagle F1 All Seasons? There's 3 different Goodyear Eagle F1's.

Tell your friend that the biggest complaint in the Michelin Pilot Sport reviews on Tirerack are noise levels as they age.

The more I cruise on these Eagle F1 All Seasons, the more I like 'em!

A person on tire rack mentioned he lost 3-4 mpg with these tires on his TL. Have you seen the same thing? I'm getting a set of 245/45 tomorrow, should I expect the same loss in mpg?

I read that same review and I have no idea what the f*ck he's talking about. My mileage remains about the same. You didn't see anyone else's review complain about dimished gas mileage, did you?

I've had the 225-50's all season F1 on for 600 miles. There the BEST tire I've ever had.
DRY and WET they ROCK !
I've had no loss of mileage at all, just put 3rd tank full in.

Thumbs up 650 Mile Update

Tried them on NYC's wet roads today. They hold like a train on rails through puddles and highway entrance and exit curves with NO hydroplaning whatsoever. I've also observed 1-2 MPG increase in my highway mileage. I'd recommend these tyiz to anybody !

As the other Tony (The Tiger) would say.....
THEY'RRRRE GREAT !!!!!!
