I bought mine from excelerate and asked him what the deal was with the bushing. I felt his answer was sufficient enough for me to decide. Besides the ES bushings are only $20.

The Comptech RSB install was relatively easy...and I'm not very mechanically inclined.
I am cheap though, which is why I opted to do it myself rather than spend the $80 my local shop quoted.
I used the Energy Suspension Bushings instead of the original bushings. They are almost twice as big and more durable. I got them from Summit Racing for about $25 shipped. Part # ENS-9-5126R

So where is the best place to purchase one of these Comptech RSB? also where is the best place to get the Energy suspension bushings? I have been searching through alot of post for the last few days so any help would be greatly appreciated

One source to check would be the authorized vendors in the Sponsored Sales and Group Buys forum (Excelerate, MrHeeltoe, Hondacuraworld).

ok i just installed mine yesterday ... took me longer than expected (around 2 hours @___@) b/c first I couldnt' get the new rsb back in and second the energy suspension bushings didn't seem to work with the new rsb ... the metal brackets wouldn't cover the bushings entirely so I couldn't bolt them down. I just ended up using the comptech provided bushings with the stock bolts and brackets, which worked fine @__@.
As for the ride ... very noticeable difference, tight handling, seems more stable on the road, excellent road feel

How did you put your car up?...ramps, jack, jack stands?
And did you take either wheel off?
Anything else I should know before starting?

125 for CT RSB
20 for ESB
I purchase via paypal so that added 3%. Total was 149.35.
paz840, I do have some advice for you, just don't have time to write it down now. Just leaving work.

^-- Agree. I got mine at Ace hardware. The actual size you need is not M8x25. The proper size specification includes the thread size which matters. You need M8x1.25 and 25mm long.

A great source of bolts/nuts hardware is www.mcmaster.com

It might be the standard pitch, but that may not be commonly known. Also when you go into the hardware store and ask for M8x25 they will not know what you mean and they have more then just M8x1.25.

Am I correct in assuming that this mod (C-tech RSB, ENS bushings) is un-necessary or overkill for an 06 6MT since we have the 20mm bar stock? Are the bushings still recommended, or will they be a problem adding to the stock equipment (compatibility)? Response is appreciated fellas.

I've seen another thread that discusses the difference of the CT RSB to the swaybar on the manual. The person did a good job showing the difference in benefit of the swaybars and showed that the CT RSB still does make a difference compared to the stock on the 6MT. Of course that was showing the difference in numbers using bar size and strength. I'll try to find it.

M8 bolts aren't sold in different pitches (course or fine threads).
Here's another example before you confuse anyone else:
http://www.mcmaster.com/param/asp/PS...MMainWidth=976
That is the largest online warehouse for hardware's entire listing of M8 bolts. You'll notice that there is no "alternative pitch" to 1.25...
I reccomend PN 92095A286 Stainless Steel socket head cap screws M8x25 to make the swaybar and ES bushings install a piece of cake.

^-- Have you actually gone to the hardware store and checked this? I have and apparently you haven't. There are also M8x1.0 at 25MM long as well. They had this at both Home Depot and Ace Hardware. I'm not here confusing anyone. Every and I mean EVERY hardware store I called didn't know what I meant when I said M8x25mm. They told me they had M8x1.25, M8x1.0 ect.
Just because some places only sell one and that's it doesn't make it "standard". When I ran into the store having more then one "pitch" as you called it. Noone on here could answer which one was needed. The information I posted doesn't confuse anyone, it's the correct information. If people buy online from the places that have been posted and they only have one option, great! That doesn't mean the local stores won't have more of a selection.

1) Had you searched, you'd have found my previous post on this topic, specifying the exact PN and specification of the required bolt.
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=bushings
2) From wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw
If the thread does not use the normal "coarse pitch" (e.g., 1.25 mm in the case of M8), then the pitch in millimeters is also appended with a multiplication sign, e.g. "M8×1" if the screw thread has an outer diameter of 8 mm and advances by 1 mm per 360° rotation.
Note the words "normal"... as in standard.
Good luck, sounds like the guys you talk to don't know the difference between fine and course threads. Fine threads are specialized in higher load situations where torque has to be measured more precisely. Very seldom is anything but course threads used on the suspension.

Ok, I wrote up a big response but am tired of arguing so here is the short version:
Yes I did search, yes I did put up a post asking for the full specification, oh and yes your original post still doesn't have the full spec and I did see it in the search.
I didn't want to wait for an online order of the bolts and not a single hardware store knew what I meant by M8x25. When I was able to properly determine the full specification so that local stores understood what I needed, I decided to post it in case others tried to find it at a local store and ran into the same problem.
We are both saying the same spec - your M8x25 at what ever online site is the same as saying M8x1.25 25mm long at the local hardware store. Personally I prefer to know the full spec, but that's just me (comes from growing up on a farm and not having time loss due to incorrect parts).
Btw, your post about using the button head type bolts was very helpful as that is the one I saw and it definitely saved a lot of frustration on the install so thanks for that.

No arguement from me... I was stating had you ordered the $5 worth of bolts from the website I gave you, you'd be done with this.
BTW, if you go to mcmaster.com and put in the PN I gave, it would show ALL the specs of the bolts... to include the hotly debated 1.25 mm pitch.
Needless to say, I think it's clear to everyone now.

Yes, that part is clear (thank God - lol), but what about my previous question on whether this mod is really an upgrade over the stock on the 06 6MT? Buda answered briefly, but does anyone have anything more informative? Just wanted to know before I wasted time and money. It seems to be a popular mod on here.

Thanks guys, I got it in on saturday with little trouble.
I was skeptical, but it really helped...she handles great and hugs the road on turns.
And the stock bolts worked fine with the Energy Suspension bushings/brackets.
FYI: I couldn't find any M8x25 cap head hex bolts at Home Depot...when I asked, they looked at me like I was crazy...but thanks anyway.
