I've had my TL for about 3 months now...
and my dumbass never realized that my stock tires are Michelin Pilot MXM4. Does anyone have these on their tl? I got mine at Park Ave. Acura in Maywood, NJ. I read all the complaints about the stock Turanza tire and wondered why I never experienced the problems.

Well, actually, tons of ppl have complained these tyres to dealers or ACS, and hundreds of members of AZ have done the same things. "Michelin Pilot MXM4" isn't the perfect tread, but it develops less issues or problems. (On the other hands, lots of ppl and members don't have problems with their EL42s or don't feel there is a problem.)
Some other vehicles also come with EL42s, there are complaints everywhere, but EL42s with 235/45/17 seems most worst. IMHO.

05 5AT w/ Navi = Michelins
I believe the 05 TL 5AT w/ Navi come with Michelins...for now. Maybe non Navis later in production.
I admit, I have had success with Michelins in the past, and yes they are typically a more expensive choice.
I am very happy with the Michelins on my TL (2 months old & 2000 miles). Most tires drive well when new, but from my experience the point when they begin to wear, get noisey, get out of balance is key...so the jury is still out on the Michelin / TL combination. Again, my previous experience with Michelins have been good wear & comfort / quiet. Others have reported horrible opinions of Michelins.
The only noticeble dig I can make on them at this point is likely due to the low profile characteristics. I find that when first starting out, I notice a 1/2 mile of a slight wobble when reaching the 50-60mph speed. This happens 1st in the morning and again in the afternoon as my office is just off the freeway onramp. It quicky disappears and does not return for the remainder of my drive, at any speed. It is not enough to make the steering wheel shake, but enough I can feel it.
When it comes time to replace them I would not object to Michelins again, but considering the cost I have added the Toyo, Pirelli, Avon and Kumho to my list. Being in Florida I don't need an A/S so wet traction, quiet, smooth, and wear will be my primary concerns. I'll be watching the reports on those tires when TL'ers have put 10-15K on them and weigh it out then.
These updates everyone provides has been really terrific, from my intial decision to buy a TL, when to buy it and now the care & maintenance.

So far no complaints so I am happy, especially after reading all your horror stories about the EL42s...
