I need some advice because I'm an idiot

Ok so I just tried to put on my mb battles 18x8 +43 with 225/40/18 tires and they didn't clear the brembos.
Can anyone give me some advice on what size spacers I should get. I just want it to clear the brembos but also not rub. My ride height is 14cm. I'm just annoyed at myself for being a dumbass

For some reason I vaguely remember someone saying +30 or so was the number for Brembos so you should be good with the 15mm spacer

I think this is right, but it depends on the wheel design, which is why this question comes up every 6.5 seconds.

Get a pack of rubber washers for garden hose, 10 pieces for $.99 (Lowes-.75" ID, 1" OD, .125" thick) and start placing them equally on 2 opposing studs until the wheel clears. Don't forget to have at least 3mm wheel clearance between the wheel and caliper as per Brembo recommendations, then you'll have the thickness of the spacer needed.

Just curious as to why I need 3mm clearance between brakes and wheels? Is it because of it expanding when heated? I was planning to just barely clear the brembos and just run it like that

possible flex? I would not want to have any clearance issues at speed, 3mm doesn't seem too crazy. Any reason why you didn't go with a lower offset? I thought battles came in like +20 or +18

Originally, the mb battles were purchased for my speed 3. However, I sold the speed 3 and kept the wheels. I thought the mb's would fit my TLS because the offset in the oem wheels were about the same, but what I didn't realize was due to the concave style of the mb wheels, it didn't clear the brembo calipers. If I specifically bought wheels for my TLS, I would've bought a +15 offset for it. That's why I'm an idiot lmao
