you have to find a good acura dealer to help you find the part number
the rims are still available through acura
i was told i couldnt buy the aspec suspension without the rims
I went out of my way to find the part number for the sport suspension kit and ordered just that. I think the aspec packages for the regular tl's are still available with the gunmetal rims. try baranco acura and ask for Len.
hope this helps

Don't go through Acura, that is unless you like to overpay. Here is a better idea, go to a Discount Tire and they can order you an exact replacement for about a $100-150 less. Acura charges something like $370 and I think that Discount Tire can get it for you for either $220 or $250 or something in between. Those wheels are made by Enkei (sp?) for Honda so Discount Tire buys directly from Enkei and doesn’t have the markup. I know all of this because I too had to place a wheel. Good luck, this will be easier and cheaper than you thought. Oh yea and if there is a metal recycling shop near where you live you can sell the old wheel for at least $30 as scrap.

fish008... could you please provide a direct link to the wheels you are talking about? i've seen you discuss these wheels in a couple of posts, but i haven't found the wheels you are talking about on discount tire. is it www.discounttire.com?

if you could provide a direct link, i'd appreciate it. i need to get new tires before the streets turn to ice, but i'd like some a-spec rims if possible. thanks.

Sorry I don't have a direct link to the wheels on their website. I went into a location near where I live and they have a book with pictures and color codes and all of that - that is how I know they can order them. I know that doesn't help people who don't live by a discount tire but maybe you could call their website and talk with them about ordering. Or another idea would be go go to a local (chain) tire place and they might be able to order the same things. I say a chain because I don't think that little tire places have the same ability to order wheels or at least offer them at such a reduced price that a chain might.

If you have the REAL 18 x 8.5 gunmetals, they are not available through acura anymore as they were discontinued in 2004. The only way to get a rim is to look on ebay for a set of 4, look around junkyards or auto recyclers or to get the rims fixed by a Rim repair place. Also look at wheel refinishers as they have refinished rims time to time in their inventory.

Part of what you said is true. I believe that the gunmetal 18x8.5s are not available through acura anymore but there are other ways to get them. Those wheels are made for Acura by Enkei so they are still available just not from Acura.

On a side note I just remembered that I have a bent (fixable) 18x8.5 gunmetal wheel that I would sell if you needed just one. You could get it fixed and that would solve your problem. That would save you some cash but not sure if you want to go through that process.

I will try to remember to take some pictures later and post them so you can see. I took it to a wheel place around here and he said it could be fixed but I didn’t want to wait and have it fixed. If I remember correctly the guy thought it would be around $100 to have it fixed so make me an offer that is better than the scrap aluminum price. You can PM me with an offer if you are actually interested. It has just been sitting in my garage since last fall so obviously I don’t need it.
