How wide can my tires be?
Hey everyone. I have a 03 TL-S Navi US model, I have 13,000 miles on it and i'm just about ready to get new tires. I've decided on the Pirelli P Zero Nero. Only thing is even though I've put comptech sway bars on it still needs a to be a little more stable around turns. I really don't want to lower it. I want to know first of all how wide my rims are. I've seen people say here that it's 7 inches. My window sticker says 6.5. I want to put on at least a 225/45/17, (stock 215/50/17). I need some information. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually, 235/45/17s will help maintain your speedo accuracy the best. Some people are already running this size with excellent results. Good choice on the Pirellis, as there are a few TLS owners running on them right now and they really love it. I'm getting mine in the summer (see my sig!).

Hey Vandy- How did you rewire your foglights? I want to rewire them so they come on with the parking lights. Was it easy?....Lemme know. -Shawn
One more thing about the tires....i'm worried that a size wider than 215 or 225 will pop off when i'm going around corners fast or something....can that happen?

Ihad 235/45/17 on comptech springs with a 17x8 rim with 45mm offset. The tires were beefy in compound though, the Pilot Sport A/S. I rubbed in dips. I shaved the rear bumper tabs. I wouldn't go wider than 235.

I see what you mean. Only my rims are 17X6.5. I think i'll stick to 225/45/17. Unless lots of people have no problems with it. I've talked to a few people who have 235, and they say it's fine.
