Question How many miles did your (A-SPEC) Yoko AVS ES 100's last?

I just happened to notice this weekend my rear tires were beyond their wear markers after only 6000 miles. The fronts are not far behind. I haven't rotated them because I haven't reached my second service yet. 80% of my milage is related to my daily commute to work that is ~4 miles one way all downhill and uphill on the way home over curvy, mountain roads in poor condition. And I do drive the car hard but no laying rubber or hard braking. Despite that, the wear seems excessive. What have other's gotten with the A-SPEC Yokahama tires?

i have 13000 miles on my Yokos and my fronts need replacing....their not bad bad but noticeable, they already been rotated once at the dealer. But i love them and plan on gettin new ones but in 245's cause i think the 235s are alittle to narrow and dont give the rims and car the right look. thanks

Yes they are the OEM A-SPEC tires Yokahama AVS ES 100 235/40/18 and I check my pressures monthly and keep 40 psi in front and 37 psi in back (recommended is 39 in front and 36 in back). I guess I'll have to slow down on those curves. Interestingly, I've not yet rotated my tires (6000 miles) and the rears are more worn then the fronts. I'm replacing them with Falken ST115 245/40/18.

i agree... i have 13k on them now... they will need to be replaced at or about 18-20k. i have rotated them twice once at 6k and once at 12k. when i buy new ones i will get 245 at a min, probably 255's

-Yea my tires are alwayz 39 in the front and 36 in the rear. I guess i gotta take it easy around the turns, but i was actually surprised they last this long.

-Hey ONAGER will 255's rub at all? Or will they look alittle too wide for t he 8.5's? Ive never seen them on the a spec rims before.

Is this PSI recommendation specifically due to the Yokos or any TL with Aspec suspension and 18's? I don't have ASpec rims or tires, but I do have the suspension on Ronjons and Falken ST-115s. Thanks!

Mine are looking more worn in the rear than the front ones. I only have 7000 miles on my car. I am going to get my tires rotated at my next oil change.

This is the recommendation from ACURA printed on the sticker inside the drivers door on A-SPEC equiped TL's (39 psi front 36 psi rear). By the way, I just put in an order for Falken ST 115 from Discount tire. I hope they last longer but at $123/tire + ~$45 shipping and no tax, at least the price is right.

255 on a stock car will not rub under any circumstances... there are a few people running around on a stock car with tires of this size, although maybe not on aspec wheels....

now if the car is lowered? honestly i dont know... they shouldnt as nothing else but the ride height changed... but untill i got under the car and chaeck the clearence i couldnt be sure....

my car isnt lowered and even if i did i am probably going with the aspec kit (i like it to be mild) as since the drop is so small it probably wouldnt rub either

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...omCompare1=yes

here are the specs on the tires i am looking at.... and if you read they can be used with an 8.5 inch rim

most here agree that 245s dont give enough protection to the rims.... barely cover it
