Help picking the right height. Lowering?
I have an Acura tl 2008 CBP. I want to lower my car and want to know the best option. Jus looking for the best ride/look combo for a reasonable price.
1. Lower the car with eibach pro kit, stock shocks on stock 17 rims, then purchase 19in rims
2. jus buy 20in rims and do nothing
Are there any equvilant springs out there that will give me the drop (less gap) and not slam the cat to low of drop.

Buying 20" wheels won't lower the car or get rid of the wheel gap, it will do the complete opposite.
It sounds like you want a mild drop without spending too much money, therefore the Pro-Kit may be the best option for you.

I basically want to have the minimal gap between the tire and car. I heard the eibach springs keep the front of the car higher than the rear. Which springs would be an even drop. I don't want to go lower than 1.5 with my stock setup. I don't want a camber kit either.
Are coil overs easy to adjust and install (DIY) and whack ones would suit me. Low price but gets the job done.

With the amount you're going to spend on springs and installation, you might as well get a set of coils. That way you can install them and adjust them as much as you want. Be sure to look at the specs before you buy a set though, some lower the car at least 1.5" before being able to adjust them.

^^ Unless he DIY's the install. Then he saves $$.
H&R Sport springs are what you want if you go springs only. ~1.4" F/ 1.3" R. Looks good.
And as wheel size gets bigger, you need a bit more drop to make them good. IMHO. The H&R's look good with 17" and should be OK with 19" (although a few more tenths wouldn't hurt).

I went to a tire place and they said the eibach pro kit will drop the car 1.4f and 1.3r. Is this right

One more thing I forgot to mention I have 15mm spacer on the front and 20mm on the rear.
So wat will be my best option now. I want the front even with the rear or the front lower than the rear

The H&R Sports are firmer than stock but not stiff and offer a fairly reasonable ride height drop.

That's the spec for H&R Sports. The spec for Eibach Pro-Kit is 1" all around.
Look 'em up in the Mfg sites. You tire place is either mistaken or (probably) don't know what they're talking about.

Laker, I've got the H&R Sports Springs and really like them-you can see them in My Garage, just click on my signature. They were ~$245. I didn't want to do expensive coilovers, so this was a perfect solution for me....sound familiar?

Narrowed it Down to tanabe 1.6f/1.4r
Or h&r sport 1.4f/1.3r
I have spacers 15mm front/20mm rear on my car. Which will be a better fit for me. 17in stock and will change to 19in rims in a couple of months or yr.

My input...invest in some coils. This will ensure your ride height is right where you want it to be.

^yeah the before pic is a train wreck....and so much so, that i ended up taking off my 20's and put stockies back on until i lowered it. no matter what OP, lower your car. it is by far one of the best mods you can do to your ride.

Don't have Funds for coil overs. So if I'm on stock 17s and stock shocks. Should I go for the tanabe 1.6f/1.4r or h&r sport 1.4f/1.3r. I'm jus a daily driver. More for the look then performance

Well, you know what I think, but I'm biased because H&R is what I bought.
But you should also consider this:
The lower you go the more likely you'll need a camber kit to avoid premature tire wear AND the lower you go the more likely you'll prematurely wear (and have to replace) your stock shocks.
I don't know for sure exaactly what "the number" is, but once you get around 1.5", I think you're entering the territory of "excessive premature wear".

Nice. So the h&rs will be fine without worrying about issues later on.
If I was to save up which coil overs do rcomend that are not really pricey. I jus don't want to damage my car and regret it later.

Not 100%.
And the Tanabe are just little lower, so it might not even matter.
I've had a little camber wear on the tires and have to make sure to keep good alignment and rotation. I bought a 3-year alignment package and have it done, usually, every other oil change (~9,0000 mile) or when it starts to pull/drift a little.
No shock issues so far; 3 1/2 years and ~45,000 miles.
