Help me decide on tires...

I will be getting my WDP/Parchment in about three weeks(hopefully)and the BS EL42's are toast from the get go. My dealer is willing to swap out(50-50_ for new ones,so I see the tire of choice is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S..what about the Falken Zeix512's? Yokohama AVS(all season)? I live in the snowbelt so I need good snow traction. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks.

No 235/45-17 tire is going to get you through more than a couple of inches of snow, the tire is just to wide.

As for which tire, it all depends of what you want in the form of comfort, handling, traction, treadwear. The higher the performance the tire is the less the treadwear warranty will be and the less comfortable it will be, but it will handle remarkably well. Next only you can decide how often do you need a WR rated tire (168mph), if it is never, then an H (130mph) tire may suit your needs, there is a huge tradeoff in comfort in having an ultra perf tire.

I am going to be getting a set of snow tire for the winter months, the trade off in cornering performance is worth the peace of mind of traction.

Has anybody used Falkens in the winter and had good sucess with them? Anyone use the Yokohama's and have good luck in the winter? I'm trying to get away from the price of the Pilots. Thanks.

Has anyone found a winter tire/rim package that will fit the 04 TL? I will buy the summer tire package and go with new rims/winter tires if I can find any.

I would think that any winter tire/rim package that fits the new accord or any other 5 lug hondas and maybe even the old TL would fit 3rd gen TLs

There are many reports from those who own the Falken 512s that indicate decent snow traction. I haven't had that experience as I only replaced my tires last month.
