Help choosing tires (pics of tire inside)

what i have : 07 TL base with oem rim

what i need :
*hydroplaning resistance UP TO THE LAST 2/32nd
*wet grip

what i want :
*dry grip
*winter usable (i understand the limits of all season but until i can afford another set of winter tires i need to get by with all season)
*low noise

what i don't really need but could want :
*40k+ miles

I have DWS almost done right now, which is gripping like a summer tire in dry lol
but these are too noisy.

candidate 1. Kumho ecsta 4x $450 installed

2. Nitto motivo $650 installed

3. ????? recommendations?? i can't go over $700 cuz that's what i have in my "savings" account

im on the same boat between the kumhos and nittos but leaning towards nitto motivos. i think the nitto nt555 extremes are all season too. based on the reviews i might consider the motivos. im gonna stretch them a little bit not too extreme 225/40 on a 9.5

I bought a set of General G-MAX AS-03's last summer from Discount Tire Direct and I think they're great all season tires with low road noise. They're also rated fairly well on tirerack.com http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=G-MAX+AS-03.

Also, discountiredirect.com and tirerack.com are both having promotions right now with rebates of either $50 or $100.

lol 555 is NOT all season it freaking looks like summer. and says summer too. and it ain't gonna last 20k miles.

i would go motivo in a heartbeat but it costs a lot more. and i don't stretch cuz i have stock rim lol.

btw nice girls. can i have one?

you wont know until you try.
yes, its an expensive "try" but how do you know you'll like a tire if you dont try?

we can have over 10,000 reviews on one tire, and every one will have a different opinion on them.

if i were you; i'd try the motivos.
a few acurazine members got to try these tires free courtesy of Nitto.
they wrote reviews for them here on this forum.

again, you can read all the reviews you want; but unless you try; you wont know

i read all the reviews from this forum, mustang forum, mini forum, etc etc etc. but..

maybe i'll take advantage of those "30 day trial period"

btw, you don't have to try it to tell if it's noisy or not.... just saying.

this looks quiet, and voila reviews say it's quiet too.

On my 09 TSX, I've put 10K on the Motivos so far and they have been great. I did not run them in snow, so I can not tell you how they work in the white stuff, but they are very good with everything else. You can't beat what you get for that price. They come with a 60K warranty. I figured that if the tire lasted half that, I've still done OK...

i'm moving to canada this summer for school and if i get ecsta.. i can spare $200 for extra set of rims for winter tires in canada.... wow too much personal info

I've been running Kuhmo Ecsta Platinums since I got my A-Specs and I have no complaints.
